    Default 'Hollywood' wants calazaghe bout

I got this source from my mobile phone

Super-middleweight contender Rubin 'Hollywood' Willliams is out to secure a fight with Britain's Joe Calzaghe within the next 12 months. Williams, who defeated veteran Max Heyman (21-8-4) By a unanimous decision to land the vacant NBA super-middleweight crown in las vegas recently, has his sights now firmly set on a legitimate world title shot. The detroit native has fought just twice in the past year, but he is eager to kick on and make for lost time. Wiliams said: 'i want to fight the best like Calazaghe or the (Mikkel) kessler- (Markus) Beyer winner.' Calzaghe has been out with a hand injury since his famous win over jeff lacy ealier this year, while Kessler and Beyer meet in a WBA/WBC unification bout in Denmark In october. Intrestingly, Williams holds an amatuer win over Lacy, But was stopped by his compatriot when the pair met without a vest and a headguard for the IBF super-middleweight title in 2005. ' I rise to the competition, ' added Williams. 'Ive been knocked out, cut and fought back. There's nothing more for me to experience other than winning a major world title. And that's exactly what i'm going to do when i get a shot.Until then, I'm willing to fight anybody in the top 20.' The 29-2 (16) Williams insists he is fully focused and ready to fight the big names at 12st.'Im all the way back now, he concluded. Im feeling strong and comfortable. My new promoter, Silvershark boxing, is keeping me busy and taking care of me.'

Well the Williams Lacy fight was stopped too soon and he was causing Lacy all sorts of problems. I dont think he's the level of Calzaghe but it would be a perfect comeback fight for Calzaghe.

What do you mean, the guy has been injured...so hes coming back from it. I just hope he doesnt live off one win over lacy.

He is always injured so every fight is a comeback ! But yea I know what Angel eyes means now.

Still , id rather see Calzaghe go for a bigger fight seeing as he doesn't seem to have many fights in the tank left cause of injury.

Nope, don't fancy this fight at all.

Calzaghe would be opening himself up for a load of critisism going in with a fighter who was beaten by his last victim (Lacy).

I'd like Rudy Markessen, Froch, Andrade or Allan Green seen as the more desirable opponents are tied up around October.

Yeah, it seems everything but his jaw is made out of glass.

Mate, with the damage on Lacy's face at the end, at least you'll realise that glass leaves some pretty deep cuts

Anyhow, I think this would be the wrong fight for Calzaghe. He's said he's got three fights left, and he needs career defining fights, and Williams is not the kind of name that will do that for him.

There are more deserving fighters out there than Lacy's left over
