im sure mike trained exceptionally well back in the 80's he had great people with him then that kept him focused and out of trouble. mike tyson always came into evry fight in great shape. when he went to prison and and got mixed up with people who dont care about him and just wanted to make money off him he was never the same. his training suffered because tyson suffered from not having the hunger and will that he had in the 80's. if he got out of prison and had good people around him again that kept him straight and made him work hard and built him up gradually from 96 to present he could probably be champ right now!

    I agree with you there.

Tyson for all his brashness and uncontrolled aggression never believed in himself the way the true greats like Holyfield and Ali did.

I'm not sure how mentally strong Lewis was and whether he would have beaten a prime, undefeated pre-Douglas Tyson or whether he would have bottled it like Bruno though.

Not saying he didn't have confidence like the others but just that I don't know.

But fighters like Ali and Holyfield could be up against King Kong and still climb into the ropes 100% confident of victory.

Ali and Holyfield would always have beaten Tyson in my opinion. Mike thrived on fear, those two were fearless.
