INO Lamon Brewster, Sam Peter & Calvin Brock will save the HW division!!!!

I don't see Oleg getting past Peter & especially Brewster! I do see Toney giving him problems & outworking Oleg to a UD! I can see Oleg KOing Klitchko & also Brewster KOing him again!
Not too sure exactly how Peter & Toney will turn out since age is catching up to Toney & he doesn't have much time left to be champ! Brewster is probably the most dangerous opponent in the heavyweight division right now! Brock is the up & comer that will be a major threat in 1-2 years!
Peter is huge & just needs to get more ring exp. in order to take the divsion, but when?

I give Brewster the best advantage over anyone in the heavies today!!!!

I don't see that happening....Wlad has it on lock down and if Valuev gains any boxing ability at all...lord only knows what might happen...but as for Brock...average power, good boxing ability and don't really know about his chin....I don't think peter has it(didn't he lose to Wlad?) and Brewster(Liakovich anyone?) I think that is reaching IMO....

Wlad has by far the best chance to unify the division. I'd be suprised if Brewster even won a world title again let alone dominate the division. He's got a great punch and a solid chin but the guy just can't box.

Wlad would easily UD him in a rematch.

I genuinely think Calvin Brock is now the biggest American hope. I don't think he's particularly special but he can punch and he has good fundamentals. He will become Americas great (maybe only?) hope of 2007

I also agree about Brewster having little boxing skill, but he always seems to pull it off becuz of his KO power! Calvin needs more exp & so does Peter, but look what Peter does when he punches, he destroys!!!!

None of these bums will ever unify anything. The fact that every HW belt has changed hands in the past 6 months ought to tell you about the consistency of the fighters in the division. They could all lose their next fight.

Take Brewster, for example--he lost his belt to Lyakhovich, who's not bad. But he already had WIDE UD losses to Clifford Etienne and some guy named Charles Shufford on his record. Sure he KO'd Wlad, but that just proves that Wlad ain't good enough to not lose to a bum. Brewster never beat anyone else of quality--the next best he did was against an aging Andrew Golota who had won only 4 of his last 9 fights.

and Rahman Ko'd Lewis!! but that doesn't put him on par with him does it?....I think Wlad has Improved more than any other fighter in the HW division today!! Wlad is coming into his prime as we speak and I don't see lucky punches factoring in as much as they used to ......

I like Brewster but he can be outboxed. He at least makes the fights exciting one way or another.

Good post & this should all turn into a great discussion. I'll semi sort of agree here.

Yes Peter needs to improve his abilities & needs to concentrate on more than power alone.

Honestly...I don't see it as Wlad getting lucky. Peter busted his melon several times. I really don't believe that chin is an issue with Wlad. If you watch his losses...the kid's got a hell of a chin...his issues are more stamina related. He just falls apart after not being able to close the distance or KO his opponent.

Also, in Wlad's defense...49 fights with 46 wins & 41 ko's aint that bad. He's lost only 3 times in 10 years...& again...I honestly believe that two of those were stamina related. Sanders did indeed blast him out. No denial there.

Back on the subject...Peter would be great if he were to be refined. He will need to either catch Toney or Toney will have to get stupid & try to man up with Peter. No way Peter outboxes Toney.

Brewster is pitiful.

Brewster is exciting because you never know what Brewster is going to show up...but that's also very VERY bad too...I just don't dig on that. That's one of the main reasons I just don't like Toney...that & the fact that he's never beaten a decent heavy...period. He lost to Rahman...that sure as hell weren't a gotdam draw!

Anyways, back to Brewster. Anyone that can't get up for Meehan & Etienne is a joke. No matter what the judges though...Meehan handed Brewster a loss...that was a bullshit decision...that poor poor Garbage Man. Losing to Lyakhovich don't mean shit either, IWO. Wlad has the best boxing ability of the heavies and the power he brings with him would make for a troubled fight. Wlad/Lyakhovich would be one heavyweight fight I would be interested in.

Agreed. Good points...but I just truly believe that with range...Klitschko controls them all around the board.
