Default Michael Grant; Whatever happened to the Next Big Thing!

Well, he was dominating the league of heavyweights that were thrown at him until well walked into the wall know as Lennox Lewis. Could he have been put up with Lennox too early in his career, if he was given more time could he have pulled it off? He jumped on to Lennox hoping to surprise him but the effect was negative. I remember that he was taller than Lewis, heavier than Lewis, more athletic that Lewis, hell maybe even stronger than Lewis but all of these failed because of inexperience. Where is he now, if he can collect himself and make a comeback how would he fare?

he had maybe the weakest chin in the history of boxing, i think one time when he went down he actually broke his ankle

Oh Okay guys, sorry about that. I was meaning before the Lewis fight. Golota himself was considered a contender for the championship and he gave Grant trouble, nevertheless he beat him. I was looking for the Grant if Lewis has not damaged him

Grant just got shellshocked by Lennox Lewis and it ruined his career

I think his BEST fight was vs Andrew Golota...he got up to KO Andrew, great fight it's sad he's still fighting though

Well the ending is sort of disappointing, Grant is down twice in the first, he fights back and knocks Golota senseless in the 10th and Golota gets up and quits.

But it showed Grant had guts...the fight is ok I reckon, not my favorite but it was Grant's best

Grant never had the time to develop properly; he was pushed way too early for a man with virtually no amateur experience. He started in the sport too late IMO.

But the night he destroyed Izon, he showed he had all the potential, shame he was not brought up properly.

Yeah Lennox kind of ruined him by holding his head down and uppercutting him with all his might

Just shows how a ring veteran can ruin an up and coming star. But not just a ring veteran a certified HOF boxer In my books. I just thought that if it weren't for that Grant may be a Heavyweight Champ today. He had a lot of things going on that was why he started late in boxing. There were basketballs, footballs, etc... more popular american sports.

David didnt live up to his potential either. But he was never really cut out for the pros. Excellent amateur though

I hardly say he KO'd Golota...Golota pulled a Golota like he had many times before and since...Golota got knocked down got up and started walking around the ring completly coherent...then he told the ref he didn't want to fight anymore ...Golota was beating Grant by a large margin to that point knocking grant down 2 times I believe....I think he was up by 7 rounds when he quit in the 10th...It was a fun fight though
