    Default Ben Roethilsberger is overrated

im so sick of watching this guy blow games only to have the rest of his team save his ass, and all praise goes to ben for being a winner

before we start on his super bowl "victory," keep in mind that this putz threw twice as many interceptions as he did touchdown and finished the game with a passer rating of 50something.

take a look at the steelers win percentage with charlie batch starting against roethlisbergers.

    heres the bottom line.
the steelers are a great football team that just needs somebody who isnt completely incompetent at quarterback and they will win games, so stop celebrating this chump roethlisberger for being a winner (hes blowing a game for his team right now as i type this, and hes already thrown a redzone interception that led to a bengals td)

The Giants are better..LOL!!!! Ben is a Systems kinda of guy that is alright if he dosent have to throw 35 times a game....He fits into that scheme well but he will never be a true Passer/ leader of a team were if you need to get down the field with 2 mins left and win one he is not that guy... I like How Eli Manning is Matureing for us...By far will be the Best Quarterback of that draft

As I sing the praises of MAnning he throws 3 interceptions and the Giants get Trashed 42-30 Son of a bitch!!!

eli is no joke, for sure.
i watched what he did to my beloved eagles last week in frustration, but at the same time i was amazed at his progression. i think that young eli is gonna be the best of the manning super-family.

i realized this at times last season when at times he would make some ridiculous play, that was flat out brilliant. now hes stringing them together consistently.

eli's the future of the nfl, and theres only one qb who i think i would rather have on my team.......................... michael vick (his stats arent all that, but if you watch the guy play hes incredible)

as for ben, hes fine in a system where he never has to throw the ball further than 7-8 yards out in front of him

So, which NFL team is your favorite?

I have been diehard Vikings fan since 1989 when I started to realize what the hell football was all about.

I also like the Cardinals and the Bengals in that order. Oilers were a team I loved until they ruined it all and moved to Tennesee.

The local teams are Redskins and Ravens Makes for a shitty Sunday afternoon because they take up two of the three games.

Fav players all-time: Warren Moon Barry Sanders Cris Carter

    Also loved JEFF GEORGE

    I agree Roethlisberger is overrated!

I live in Pittsburgh too and have been a Steelers fan since the age of 11

He always makes excuses for losing games. When he single handedly lost the AFC championships against the patriots season before last he came out and said he was playing with 3 broken toes. Next day coach Cohwer came out and straight up said Big Ben lied and didn't have ANY broken toes! I don't like how he never accepts responsibility for playing bad...it's always "I had a 104 degree temperature" or "My thumb was hurt" It's football, everybody is playing hurt.

The reason the Steelers have been so good was due to great defense and strong running. Ben never had much responsibility put on him. In the game yesterday the steelers were playing great D, had a good running game going, and Ben threw 3 ints that were HORRIBLE and they lost the game for that reason. Of course, NO ONE in pittsburgh ever puts any of the blame on him.

I'd still say he's in the top 10 QBs in the NFL, maybe #8 or #9 but that's because he's surrounded by a strong all-around team with good coaching. If roethlesberger was drafting by the browns or something he would have one of the worst passer ratings in the nfl. In the 2 games he's played this season he hasn't had a QB rating of over 40! Completing less than half of his attempts, 0 TDs, and 5 ints.

Ben is overrated and fortunae he's not dead.

    Dallas' progress is overrated

But the overrated prize of the season goes to the Raiders for the Art Shell comeback. What exactly is it they think will be different from the first time around?
