Arce Darchinyan could be a fight of the year candidate. There are very few fights I'd rather see--they need to make this happen.

I love Arce but its about time he made a big fight.

A Darchinyan fight would be good, I'd take Arce by stoppage. I'd stay away from Parra if I was Arce's manager.

Fill me in on Parra Oumafan,I'm donwloading his fights with Brahim Asloum or something now but yet to see it. Doug Fischer,ny fave analyist(along with Al Bernstein) asys that he thinks Parra beats Arce AND Darchinyan!! Is he a slick boxer>?? I know he travels around the world and gets decisions, still unbeaten right?

I would love to see this fight, why doesn't Vic stop running his mouth and move up? He is tough, strong and powerful but WIIIIIIIIDDDDDE open!

Parra's pretty slick, I've only seen his fight with Morel and some Japanese guy but he's quick, not great power but solid, good boxing skills, can move a little. Much tougher style matchup for Arce than a guy like Darchinyan who's a bit slow and has iffy defense. And he wouldn't be intimidated, the guy repeatedly fights guys in their own hometown.

Thanks for the info, after I see the fight,Ill let you know. Also,I'll PM you the link for Dzinziruk Santos,I really like Dzinziruk,he has a typical Euro stlye but power, crisp punches and good counters too. I'll reply back about Parra too.

What do you guys think would happen in a Arce Darchinyan fight? Vic does have power!

Yeah, the only thing that's a bit worrisome if you're an Arce fan is that he seems like he at times doesn't really care if he gets hit and Darchinyan does have power.

But he's slow and loads up that left hand, Arce's quicker and just skill and technique wise better, and I just see him pressuring Vic, beating him to the punch all night and stopping him late. He might get staggered at some point but I'd expect it'd be one of those fights thats exciting but with Arce in control most of the time.

After watching some more of Darchinyan,I'm sure Arce could beat him. Darchinyan has never faced someone as skilled as Arce,he loads up waaaaaay too much which is how he gets his power,Arce should be able to see the punch coming,he's wiiiide open and looks uncomfortable when someone goes to his body. Arce is far superior in technique and skill,he just needs to be wary of the power.

CC, you see pretty much the same things in Darchinyan that I do. Wide open is about right and Arce would be much quicker and better on the inside, would win the exchanges IMO. Vic's the kind of guy that while he's got good power could lose his next fight (not saying specifically Donaire, I don't know much about him, just saying a Vic loss wouldn't surprise me) and it wouldn't shock me, I just think he'll be outboxed before too long

Did you see Parra yet? If so what do you think?

Going to watch Parra in an hour hopefully, taking ages to download!! What makes you think he can beat Arce? CC back. Oh and as for Darchinyans next fight,Donaire is a boxer, lots of lateral movement so he could win but I'm not sure how Darchinyan fares with lateral movement.

It would be a good fight, a much tougher fight than Darchinyan for Arce IMO.

Parra's quick, pretty tough (from what I've seen), solid enough power to get respect, and has pretty good skills. He'd try to outbox Arce, while Darchinyan would probably more likely try to KO him and he's slow and wide open. In an action fight like that would be I'd take Arce's cause he's faster and just better overall. Shorter, straighter, quicker punches. And he can punch, maybe not as hard as Vic, but I see him tagging Vic all night.
