That was dynamite. If I knew how to save youtube videos on my computer I'd make a vid on Pernell.

good vid. he's a good boxer
CC, the greatest boxer of his era, I think he could have beat all the greats of the 80's nobody could hit him.
You shouldnt comment on stuff you know nothing about. No need to comment on every thread and make a statement that adds nothing. SC.Originally Posted by ds91
Anyways, real nice video Majesty! Sweet Pea was a defensive genius. I watched a documentary/biography on him about a year ago. He could out slick just about anyone inside the ring. I still havent seen Whitaker vs DLH (Ive been meaning to for quite some time) but I heard some think pernell was robbed? Dont want to watch any late 90s or early 2000 bouts cause thats when he was a coke addict and started losing performance quickly. I think he was a shell of himself when he fought Trinidad or he may have won...it seems like trinidads style would cater to a boxer like whitaker.
Bloody good statement, but one thing to add, many think Pernell was robbed against ODH, he landed 50 more punches than ODH did and he knocked him down, on the scorecards he lost 9 rounds to 3, it was bloody insane.Originally Posted by dasamm
I think the lesson here is, don't argue with the ref when he calls the fight off,
because he might call the fight back on and your *ss is grass!![]()
Double c for the vid.![]()
an all time great no doubt about it. juan nazario was coming off a win against edwin rosario. if you look at the men whitaker beat in his career. roger mayweather, greg haugen, joe luis ramirez, freddie pendleton, azumah nelson, juan nazario, jorge paez, rafael pineda, harold brazier, buddy mcgirt twice, julio cesar chavez (drawn verdict but he obviously won),julio cesar vasquez. disputed loss to de la hoya and when way past his best pushed felix trinidad 12 rounds with a broken jaw. at his peak a defensive genius who rarely lost a round never mind a fight.
