    Default Bloody Noses

Ok so Ill be sparring soon... My nose bleeds... easily... if you throw a basketball at my nose, I feel like it's instantly going to bleed, but it normally does... so..... any tips on how to prevent them or make them short lived? BESIDES "DONT GET HIT"

    Thanks

just stick wads of paper up your nose if it happens.
don't wear a shirt that your particularly fond of... and remember, scrub with cold water and no soap to get it out... anything else will set the stain.

yea, actually, you probably are. I know, it sucks, mine bled when I started sparring. still does occasionally.

I havent been boxing long enough to tell you from experience, but what my trainer tells me is that "after a year, you lose feeling in it (your nose)"

A pro boxer friend of mine had his nose actually fall out in a fight...Yup thats right.
All the grissle that holds your nose into shape crumbled and his cornermen were sticking cotton buds up his nose to keep it stable.
His nose still has the same nosey shape today....but go on, i dare you to ask him to press it, youll be in for a shock

My nose used to bleed so much vampire bats use to perch on my bedroom window ledge. I had the bone taken out no trouble since, can now get my finger up to the wrist and tickle my tonsils
Pain lasts a only a minute, but the memory will last forever....

My buddy's nose used to bleed in every fight, when he first started, he has a hawk of a nose, now it rarely bleeds.

right, so I had my nose opened wide on this fine evening

my handler told me to take a q-tip and soak it in vinegar and then swab the inside of the nose, all the way to the back. says it makes all that stuff in there stronger.

I dunno if Ill try that or not. but theres a remedy you can try
