Personally I thought he did ok.

Oquendo was an awkward opponent but I thought Evander just about did enough. He came on strong in the last four rounds which was impressive to see. I didn't see any stamina issues.

Also I thought the body shots he hit Oquendo with that floored him were legitimate punches. In my opinion that was another knockdown.

I'd like to hear anyone else whose seen the fight what their opinion on the knockdowns were?

The bandwagon rolls on for Evander, personally I think he could take Maskaev and Briggs, possibly Valuev so unifying the titles doesnt seem such an impossibility now.......

Your not alone Bilbo. I just hope that Evanders win will help push the HW dev closer to unification. (which I think it will).

Cool Clicks abound for everyone ! !!! Yeah mate ! Evander did a good job last night, he was fighting a guy that didn’t want to fight, who was basically running scared all night long. That big Holyfield boom early on , put Fres in Reverse.. and one thing I love about Texas is, Reverse isn’t going to cut it ! If you are fighting in San Antonio, you better be moving forward. very fewwill win fighting on their heals in the great state of Texas. Thank god for that

Well, I thought Evander couldve done better but it was real close. I hate to say it but I saw Fres winnnig 114-113, Oquendo wasnt hurt by the body shots he went down with. there were a couple that went low imo and he tried to fake hurt, it was a close one, couldve gone either way

Old guy in a tough sport, but at the same time he has nothing left to prove.
He is way past his prime and is showing that he can somewhat compete with the younger fighters.
He has fought many or all the top heavyweights.
Has been the champ several times.
I doubt he is hurting for money.
