that a 4-0 Oscar DeLaHoya took on a 23-2-2 Jeff Mayweather. He stopped Mayweather on that night. Does anyone think that, even though it was a nearly a decade and a half ago, The Mayweathers may not be mentally ready for this fight or maybe Floyd will try too hard to do what his uncle couldnt?

No, I don't think so, Floyd is a very focused boxer, I have yet to see him get thrown off his game plan. Some may argue in the first Castillo fight he was, but I disagree, he just didn't know how to apply against that type of fighter yet. It is true ODLH may very well pick apart floyd, but I don't think it will be because of him not being mentally ready or him trying to hard, if he loses he will just plain get outboxed.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

No. Why does Jeff losing to De La Hoya even matter? It's Roger who trains Floyd not Jeff. Jeff was not on his brother Roger's level. And he's no where close to being on Floyd's. Come fight time, Floyd will be ready. If he loses it's cuz he lost to a better, bigger fighter. It will not be cuz he wasn't mentally ready.
