    Default Something New from Cotto

Just watched the fight for the first time and noticed something that hasn't been talked about much. Cotto's in and out game. My biggest criticism of Cotto has been that he doesn't do anything moving in and does nothing moving out. Watch the Torres fight, that's the only reason Torres did as well as he did in that bout. But versus Quintana it was like watching a different fighter. Instead of keeping his hands at his ears and moving in, he mixed in some straight rights, he let go the left hook pulling out and he just did the things in between fighting inside/outside. IMO, Cotto is now a championship caliber fighter. I didn't think the same thing of him in any of his previous 3 fights (first time I saw him was against Torres)

Anyone else notice that? I say bring on the big dogs for Cotto. Cotto-Hatton would be a war!

back... Yep Miguel has served notice to the Welterweight Division... He seems to be turning into the complete package, I love the way he stalks and cuts the ring off he mixed it up nicely and closed the distance well...He is fighting at a better weight and he is just plain nasty ...
