    Let's be real here.

Who is Quintana? he was fighting 8 rounders last year.

Then beat a 'prospect' to become catapulted into this fight.

When cotto fights a P4P top 10 fighter like Mayweather, Hatton or Castillo - then he'll get mad props....... but til then, let's not go over the top.

Those guys will be running for the hills after this one. Not Castillo though, he has heart. Cotto is a monster at this weight and he will be avoided.

I have seen Cotto on a few p4p lists in the past and from time to time his name comes and goes. There are those who are more deserving and or if not right up there in contention for a spot.

Quintana dominated Joel Julio and knocked out Edwin Cassiani. Who is Edwin Cassiani? He was the man that TKO'ed Luis Collazo.
Quintana hits hard as phuk and I think he broke Miguels nose
I don't think we have seen the last of Quintana. I could be wrong. He is 30 and was destroyed last night so, who knows.

Now getting back to wether or not Cotto has a spot in the 10?
    Well?
We have to look at who is all there.

    We have

    Arce
    Barrera
    Calzaghe
    Corrales
    Casamayor
    Castillo
    Cotto
    De La Hoya
    Hatton
    Hopkins
    Kessler
    Margarito
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Rafael Marquez
    Morales
    Mosley
    Mayweather
    Ouma
    Parra
    Pacquiao
    Taylor
    Israel Vazquez
    Wright

Play with that list and see how Cotto fairs.

I think you're on to something here.....He has yet to face someone that has "The Cred".....until then the Jury is still out.....I don't think he has the ability to hang with the likes of PBF and he is way to big for Hatton....
It feels good to be back home.

Cotto didn't move up and fight a slouch ala PBF. He fought a very good fighter and beat him far more impressively than PBF beat the sloches. I would say that calls for some serious respect.

Cotto is fan friendly all the way, skillfully aggressive.. me I love this type of fighter ! as for PBF, he has a different style, and at the higher weights has become less thrilling. but PBF is still effective and after watching Margarito last night, no doubt in my mind PBF would kick Tony's ass, and Cotto would mop the floor with that Margarito ass. shame about Clottey's hand, cause he would have stopped Tony no question about that.

you had to see this coming miles away because i know i did

margarito sucks, and he showed it last night. so now all of the margaritites are jumping ship over to cotto's bandwagon because cotto looked very impressive against carlos quintana (a good fighter, but nowhere near pbf)

prepare yourself for 6 months of "mayweather has been ducking cotto/mayweather is terrified of cotto, blah blah blah."

i think i saw danny g actually say "ïm not really that big of a margarito fan"

its like.................... are you fucking kidding me??

I don't any of them "Running for the hills" when it comes to Cotto... he still has alot to prove. I think if he can't outright hurt Castillo at will that Castillo would beat him because of his better chin.

Just so you know, I'm not only a fan, I'm a student of the game. I don't defend my fav fighters when something that is said is a fact. I'm my own person with my own thoughts and don't live off others opinions. While HBO is hyping PBF as the top fighter in the game, I'm sitting at home noticing that he hasn't proven he can do it against the best in the world. Point being, he talks a lot of sh** but rarely does anything to prove it. The only fight he had recently that was worth watching was against Zab and Zab was putting it on him before he got gassed.

I think Cotto would knock Castillo out early. Castillo is by no means Iron Clad.

The bolded is exactly why I think Hatton has no business being rated higher than Cotto on any P4P. If Cotto were to move back down or Hatton back up, Cotto would destroy him. And how fighters would fare against each other fighting at the same division (so long as it's not seriously a unnatural weight for them) is pretty much what P4P is all about.
