Cruiserweight scandal in Germany...

I can't believe what just happend...
Kempten, Germany 2006-12-16:
German cruiserweight-prospect Marco Huck(17-0-0 13 ko's) fought Italian Pietro Aurino(37-3-0 16ko's)...
in the second round after holding and punching by both boxers the ref tried to break what both boxers
ignored, the italian delivered two intentional headbutts and the german boxer(former kickboxer) trying
to answer with an also unsportsmanlike kick with the knee,which didn't connect though...
The ref finally breaked the fighters and gave the Italian a two point deduction for the headbutts...
So far nothing special...,but after the deduction Pietro Aurino totally lost his cool and left furiously the ring...That was pretty crazy...,but the italian returned after something like half a minute and wanted to
fight on...,which the ref denied and ruled the bout as a DQ for leaving the ring...
Audience didn't like it and booed...alot ...

In MO Huck won that fighting with at least two points - no scandal other than you trying to make one....

I guess that you were also the kind of letting Lacy getting a points draw or winning by a point in America - yeah, that was a scandal compared to the Huck victory.

You kidding? That is one of the most exciting divisions in all of boxing right now. Some of the champs have been plagued by inactivity but that is a great division.

I'd have to disagree Amat,O Neill Bell v Mormeck was a good fight but other than that,I have seen nothing from this division and that situation does not look like it'll change anytime soon!

Strongly disagree. The best thing about the cruiserweights is that all of the top fighters have fought and are fighting each other. I mean, disregarding the prospects who haven't yet broken the mold in the division (Enzo, Haye, Banks)

1. O'Neil Bell (26-1-1)
2. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (37-1)
3. Steve Cunningham (19-1)
4. Jean-Marc Mormeck (32-3)
5. Guillermo Jones (33-3-2)

That's ESPN's top 5 in regards to the cruiserwights. ALL of these guys have fought someone else from this list. Bell fought Mormeck. Wlod fought Cunningham. Mormeck fought Bell and Jones fought Cunningham aswell. Outside of maybe the featherweights and the lower divisions, this isn't happening in any other division. The Mayweathers aren't fighting the Hattons, Margaritos or Cottos. The heavyweight champions aren't fighting each other. Calzaghe isn't interested in Kessler. Yet the cruiserweights are a division in which everyone is fighting everyone. Then you have a new blood that is being injected that have a lot of people excited. Haye and Banks are two of the better prospects in all of boxing and the are both cruiserweights.

I think the only thing holding the cruiserweights back is TV. HBO isn't really quick to put a cruiserweight title fight on BAD and that doesn't leave many time slots for a cruiserweight title fight that someone like Don King or Warriors boxing would like. Showtime has been good about pushing cruiserweights but it hasn't been enough thus far to help save the division from inactivity. But when they are active the best are fighting the best.

CC. I like it too, I don't understand why people dismiss it so quickly. It seems like its always been that way with the division, I actually had this argument with Britkid a long time ago. The best do fight each other, which is very rare, and there are a lot of good fights at cruiserweight. Its not quite as coma inducing as the heavyweights are. I don't think its the best division out there, but its good, I'd take it over 175 and the Heavyweights without a second thought.

Fuck no. O'neil Bell is the man. But he would have to kill himself to make Light Heavyweight and would be at a huge size disadvantage at Heavyweight. Cruiserweight is the perfect division for him and fighters his size.
