i no this thread has been done b4 but after seeing him knockout gibbs in the first round it made me think just how powerfull is he so i thought of opponents he has in common wid other middleweight champions nd the main one that came to my mind was howard eastman nd how he stopped him in 7 but when i watched the eastman hopkins fight i cant remember eastman ever being in trouble nd also abraham could only get the ud even though they both have gd power but also i have to give alot of credit to abraham for going 12 round wid miiranda most of which was with a broken jaw nd i no this might sound weird but i think abraham would have lost that fight had his jaw not broken bcos he porbably would have gone toe to toe nd got knocked out in my opinion. i do think that Miranda will be a world champ in 07 if hes given the chance but i cant see taylor fighting him or abraham giving him a rematch although he might be able to get a fight wid carrera, also the only middleweight i c beating him is winky Wright. Well thats my opinion ne1 got ne fighters they think could beat him cos i can c him knocking out ne other middleweight out there?

i dont think he would of beat abraham

he had enough chances and hammered that jaw enough but couldnt finish him off.
also the points he had deducted in that fight would always be the difference between winning and losing any close fight is he doesnt stop fighting dirty

I gree that Winky is his biggest threat at 160. Miranda is so flawed that it makes what he does just amazing.

Agrreed with all the posts here so far... Miranda is very flawed in a way, he's not difficult to hit, but he showed against Abraham that he definetly had a chin... THat fight, win or lose, proved his worth alot imo.... After Eastman I had no idea where to rank him, since it appeared he was simply a kill or be killed fighter, now he has shown to also be a durable pressure fighter, he's certainly at the top of 160 as far as Im concerned... Id really like to see how Taylor could do against him.. Also Warreng it's a great point you make that Abraham breaking his jaw could possibly have helped him to win the fight, although debatable, it would seem the best way to beat Miranda certainly is to move and pick him off sparingly.. I don't really think the win over Gibbs says much though, like many seem too... That guy was plain chinny and only brought in to make Miranda look great.
