    Default What to do.....

So i've been sparring for a few weeks now. I'm pretty tall for my weight, 5"10 130 pounds. I find this to my advantage. Easy to drive people back and get them up against the ropes. Now, when I do this, my shorter sparring partners tend to go defensive, hands tight in against head, and they bend down low. Now, as they are shorter than me, I find it hard to slip in any puches (the uppercut that i so despirately want to land for once lol) all I have as a target is the back of their head. I feel like I'm just wasting energy beating on their arms and hands. What should I do? Give them a little space so they open back up, and then just go back inside and keep them on the ropes? Or just keep goin at them hoping to land a punch untill they grab me? (On a side note, how do I give a CC?)

Ive got a funny feeling youve been boxing longer than you make out, Or your going to be one to watch down the line if you are telling the truth. there are different approaches, when he puts his chin down and looses sight just keep tapping him with a light jab but correct at the same time moving side to side then stop the jab hes going to come up to see why youve stopped thats your in. Theres lots of little ways one is to turn him but youve got to know what your doing you have to progress to moves like that . try the first one it works

at 5'10 130 as a general rule you want to be on the outside ,

On the inside your giving the shorter man his opportunity to catch you , and more then likely your smothering your punches.. take a few steps back get full extension on you shots.. very your speed and power be clever in that ring. . get your opponent to like it, come out for a peek ( like scrap said ) and then send one down the pipe with some mustard on it.. full extension str8 punches ! remember to change things up, and don't be too predictable . the great fighters change it up as you can't get a fix on them and they harder to time !

if I have a kid bent over, I give him an axe handle type shot with both hands, like you see in the WWE.
