Its a better written story than the 3rd, 4th and 5th films and as far as Smashup not liking the fight?? Well, was Smashup expecting an 80 year old Balboa to come out fighting King Kong and retiring having proven it all? Im glad it stayed away from the overblown theatrics of Rocky IV (even though I like that flick too!)...

Again, a decent film and very watchable...no quibbles from me!

i like rocky 3 better because he loses because he hasnt got his head screwed on and young hungry challenger whoops him then he has to change his style to a boxer i like story of that

Watched it again and to be fair,the first two rounds are vintage Rocky but then the camera angles go all 'Contender' and you don't really see the action clearly
I'd bet LOTS of money that Stallone asked for it to resemble the contender.

Yeah, the first 2 rounds were fantastic. I agree with Sal in that I would have liked the montage to come later or to just have more like the first 2 rounds. The black and white scenes with the red blood adding contrast did look a bit too cheesy for my liking....

I like the film as a whole though...

Damn skippin'. Twas a great movie but totally fake. Nobody could have one against Drago had that been real; a punch like the one he was supposed to have would probably tear your head clean off (literally)

was i battered or did i see clubber (t) as a bum sitting in a doorway right at the start when rocky was buying food from the market

there should have been more fighting though a hour goes by before he starts training way too long
