Whoever wins it's a great fight. After rampage beat Chuck a few years back his only losses are to Wanderlai (twice) and to Shogun and has wins over Ninja, Arona and Matt Lindland (among others). But, Chuck's on a 7 fight win streak since that loss and continues to look like a more and more well rounded fighter. I'd have to give the edge to Chuck, but with 2 heavy hitters like these 2, who knows?

Wow...kinda surprised by the responses. I hate Chuck, but Rampage won't beat him again. I think it will be close, and Rampage has the potential to win, moreso than any other fighter Chuck's faced since Couture, but I really doubt he'll do it. I'm thinking it will be Chuck by TKO late in the 4th. Chuck's biggest problem in the Pride match was gassing. That's how Rampage was able to keep him down in the end. That's not gonna happen when he can take a rest every 5 minutes. Not to mention, he's NEVER lost a rematch. He's like the Patriots of the MMA world (minus the skill).

chuck can still gas if he still hasnt been past 3 rounds in his title fights right? I think Jackson can beat Liddell again.

    I'll never bet against Liddell.

He's only gotten better and if the fight against Rampage had been in an octagon instead of a roped ring Chuck would have been able to get off his back. The end result may have been the same but it wouldn't have been because Chuck couldn't get out of trouble as easily as he can coming off the cage.

If memory serves I also think the gassing of Liddell may have been because it was an old style tournament with multiple fights in the same day. I could be wrong, but if that was the case then it is so often a result of your preliminary bouts as much as it's your current opponent.

In any event - I'm very excited to see Rampage in the UFC and I hope that Jackson gets 2 or 3 fights to grow his legend even further before the big rematch.

Cro Crop arriving stateside is a coup as well.

Rampage had to go through those same fights like Liddell would have so it isnt so much the story of gassing but the fact that Rampage could overpower Liddell too. And if memory serves he stunned Liddell a few times with his own punches. And I think one of the main reasons Liddell got tired was trying to get up when Rampage put him down just because of the sheer strength of Jackson it nearly took all Liddell had just to get out of it, it didn't help that Rampage was kneeing him in the face everytime he tried to get up so by the time Rampage took Liddell down again he didn't have anymore.

Rampage aint been the same fighter since the second fight with Silva unfortunately

Bingo. Chuck wins this one. Chuck has gotten better while Rampage has slipped. I like Rampage, and would love to see Chuck lose to stir things up a bit, if nothing else. But I just don't see it happening.

well, that's why they play the game, as they say.

Also, does Rampage get an immediate title shot or does he have to get by anyone first? Maybe Rampage and Tito to start? I haven't heard any news...

I'm pretty sure he has a fight coming up at UFC 66, can't remember against whom though.

    Eastman (or something like that).

Jackson told Joe Rogan that he wanted to have 2 or 3 fights in the UFC before meeting with Chuck to build his profile a bit with the current UFC fans.

Sounds like a plan to me. Liddell v Jackson in November of 07 I figure.

but in the UFC nothing is for certain. Even a 99 to 1 underdog can get a shot in
