    Default Foreman vs Briggs

How on earth did they give that fight to Shannon Briggs? And how on Earth did one judge score it 117-111 for Briggs?? I finally saw this fight today and thought it was absolute robbery and a terrible performance by Briggs (by the sound of it all commentators agreed Foreman had won and Lederman himself had it 116-112 for Foreman).

How did you guys see this fight? I agreed with Lederman, I had it 116-112 for Foreman.

I agree. But in all honesty, would you have really wanted to see Foreman fight Lennox Lewis next?

Foreman would have retired rather than fight Lewis.

You don't judge a fight due to the possibility of a fighter being hurt if they fought the next guy in line.....that's the most idiotic view ever

I don't think George would have touched Lewis with a 7 foot Valuev

I remember thta fight. I tought George won on effective aggressivness and clean punches. But he did look slow and tired. I wouldn't mind reviewing it.

For a 48 year old who had been fighting for 30 years, he put up one hell of a performance, much better than I expected. IMO he was a lot quicker and sharper than the Moorer fight. He was constantly tagging Briggs with his jab and landing hard right hands. Briggs had a good first round, then looked tired the rest of the fight. Like I said I personally agreed with Lederman's scoring of 116-112 for Foreman. I was close to having it 117-111 for Foreman. I can understand that some may have had it closer than what I did, but for one judge to have it 117-111 for Briggs is just unbelievable.

People discount The Ali Losses to Holmes And Berbick at age 37 and 38 saying they don't detract from his legacy or record because he was old and past it.
BUT! heres Big George fighting his guts out at age 48!! and no excuses!
    To Me ..Thats a legend!
