Clean is coming with the SUPER matchups I've never even thought of tonight. Cool Click bro. I think I might have to lean toward Pryor by close unanimous decision, but it could just as easily go the other way.

In a pound for pound sense, I think Monson is tougher than Arguello, however, I see Pryor v. Hopkins pound for pound as being more intriguing, and quite possibly, being the dirtiest and yet most entertaining fight I can think of.

Yeah..... two awesome legends. CC from here also, Clean. Too many people limit their boxing discussions to the Tyson's, the Leonard's, the Ali's. You know... the obvious names. But Aaron Pryor and Carlos Monzon, IMO, are true legends of boxing that don't get enough press. Having watched Pryor's destruction of one of my alltime favorite fighters, Alexis Arguello, I couldn't help but be in awe of the guy, even though he KO'd Alexis, not once but twice.Originally Posted by Samson3000

You're missing the point. No one's talking about Pryor having to move up to middle weight. P4P means hypothetically, if they both weighed the same and kept all their skills in their prime, who would win.Originally Posted by Scrap

I do understand the concept skyler. people that have moved through the weights , Duran Lenoard Hearns etc learned to adapt to the riggers of the higher weights and technique Pryor never did, no fault of his own but there you are the higher the weight the concept changes. Dynamics are altered battle plans are different. Ive been fortunate enougth to train a few champions from feather to heavy the concept is a lot different. Show me a fighter that could adapt to me Pryer never did.
