It was a great fight but it's not the only great heavyweight fight.

Both Toney Peter fights were really entertaining. The Skelton Williams matchups were pretty solid too.

I enjoyed watching Wlad dismantle Chris Byrd and Calvin Brock.

I even thought the Maskaev Rahman fight was entertaining to watch.

The Eddie Chambers vs Rossi fight a couple weeks ago was great too.

The heavies still provide some entertainment in my opinion.

The Brewster: Lyakhovich was fun. I wouldnt call it a "great" fight but it was certainly very entertaining. Agreed, about Toney: Peter 1...that was quality through and through. The second fight was good but its a harder fight for me to deal with. It started out very much with me on the edge of my feet but as the rounds edged on I found my head in my hands murmuring to myself. Most unsettling fight to watch. I stayed away from this site all day so I didnt know the result when I downloaded it. Peter won a supporter in that fight...

Maskaev was a great fight. Back and forth, and ending in an upset knockout in the last round. Also a very entertaining undercard. All knockouts.

Yeah I remember Humberto Soto looking awesome in the fight before.

Actually just remembered the Gammer Williams fight was good as well.

There's still plenty of entertainment in the heavyweights imo

Well, Lamons last 3 fights prior to Wlad were exciting to watch.... vs. Golota, Krasniqi and Serguei.

Depending on what you look for in a fight IMO, the Serguei fight was the best.....

If you go to YouTube you can see the Golota & Serguei fights. If you go to Google you can see the Krasniqi fight.

I loved watching Chambers-Rossy...a fucking textbook example of how to beat a bigger stronger brawler. Chambers is a good young prospect and I look forward to him fighting.... hell Calvin Brock would be a good match for him or even a Sultan Ibragimov or Ruslan Chagaev would be good.

I agree, the Maskaev - Rahman fight was a very entertaining match. a round of applause to Jay Nady for making it so ! He reminded the combatants right from the gate , "There will be no to holding" and that points would be taken away. The important factor in keeping a heavyweight match interesting is sustained action. Holding is the snuff all in boxing.! holding is for the un prepared fighter, who is either under conditioned , has little skill thus trying to use it for a tactical advantage. . . It's what is known as a personal problem. Holding is the fuck all in boxing.
