Its a solid fight, but its two guys with very little power, I'm sure some people won't be interested at all.
it would make a great undercard if nothing else. i would love to see the fight.
I see Spinks schooling Ouma. Would be a solid fight to make, but I think Cory has greater skills which would see him through it... definetly can understand why it isn't headlining a PPV anytime soon, but like The boxer said it would be an excellent undercard fight.. Though perhaps excellent would be applicable only on paper.. I could see it being a very very dull Spinks win.
I'm actually a big fan of Cory Spinks, he's a real slick boxer whose good to watch in my opinion. He lacks power, gasses late and likes to turn on the waterworks but so who cares, he's part of hillbilly family so what you expect? :P
Plus his ring entrances are the most entertaining show in boxing![]()

i'm a spinks fan also. he has some bad habits that i don't like but he does have skills. i really don't know who would win this fight.
I gotta feeling Ouma would get to him late. Just the sheer volume of punches. Cory gasses out even if no punches are thrown and unless you have Jermain Taylor's power you just won't be able to keep Ouma from throwing 100 punches per round. Even the strong Sechew Powell couldn't stop him.Originally Posted by 'The Boxer'
Unforunately Spinks is a cream puff when it comes to punch power so he will have to put up with 100 annoying Ouma jabs in the face for 12 rounds.
After 10 rounds usually a cough or a sneeze could send Spinks over so I don't see him surviving this one at all.
I'll definitely be rooting for him though :P
Now because this doesn't seem to be going anywhere there talking about Ouma vs Mosley at 147
I'm sorry, but who the F*** is managing Ouma? Are they cashing him out or do they think he can do this? I know they want him to make money and he wants to make money but if this came off he would have of, in his last two fights, gone straight from 154 to 160 to fight the middleweight champion and then in the next fight go all the way down from 160 to 147 to fight Mosley who looked good last time out. He's said before that he felt drained at 147 so now's the time to move down, when last time out you weighed 160. It would be a tough enough fight anyway without being drained. Just bizarre.
I can't see Ouma competing wtih Spinks' speed.
I think Spinks would outbox Ouma who would have a strong finish but it not be enough
I agree with ya that Spinks would outbox Ouma early & that Ouma would come on strong. But I feel Ouma will be to strong at the end & take it out, possible even stop Spinks late.Originally Posted by P.G.H Angel Eyes
I'd much rather see Spinks take on Travis Simms so Simms can knock his crying a** out!!!

Simms didn't look too good against Robert Frazier, he looked great in his last fight Garcia stood in front of him and gave him no angles. Spinks would be a difficult fight for both.Originally Posted by galaxy76
Sorry bro I think you're confusing Travis with his twin brother Tarvis. Tarvis fought Frazier not Travis. Travis Simms just came back after over a 2 year layoff to destroy Jose Rivera. Simms didn't even look rusty to me.Originally Posted by Majesty
