Alfonso Gomez from the contender is fighting Arturo Gatti on the 14th of July in Atlantic City.

Gatti camp approached him and Alfonso said yes.

Good matchup 50/50 fight on paper. I'm torn I really like Alfonso and want him to do well but i also really want Arturo to sign off his career with a win.

At least he ain't fighting Forbes, he wouldn't have won a round.....

I have just read the forum and there are mixed messeges. It looks like this fight will not get signed because Gatti is with HBO and I think Mora and Manfredo have both left HBO with a bad taste in their mouth.

I guess we will just have to wait and see.
