It's doubtful that Corrales could be effective at 147.
And it doesn't look like he'd be able to make it down to 140 any more.
So what's left for him to do aside from retiring?
Well, try to make the biggest and most profitable fight possible against someone he stands a shot against.
To me, it seems inevitable for that fight to be against Gatti.
It just makes so much sense.
Both men are coming off losses to naturally larger men and are both probably very very close to retirement.
And what better way to go out than with these two guys against each other?
I think Corrales would take this one, but the fact that both men can't help but slug when provoked would make this an absolute dream matchup.
I think Gatti's people might want more of a sure win for Gatti's last fight, but if this offer were ever on the table, I'm hoping it'd be too juicy for Arturo's people to turn it down.
