    Default Corrales vs. Gatti?

It's doubtful that Corrales could be effective at 147.
And it doesn't look like he'd be able to make it down to 140 any more.

So what's left for him to do aside from retiring?
Well, try to make the biggest and most profitable fight possible against someone he stands a shot against.
To me, it seems inevitable for that fight to be against Gatti.
It just makes so much sense.
Both men are coming off losses to naturally larger men and are both probably very very close to retirement.
And what better way to go out than with these two guys against each other?

I think Corrales would take this one, but the fact that both men can't help but slug when provoked would make this an absolute dream matchup.
I think Gatti's people might want more of a sure win for Gatti's last fight, but if this offer were ever on the table, I'm hoping it'd be too juicy for Arturo's people to turn it down.

What do you think? You think this fight is a possibility?
(Pardon if this has been discussed before. I missed it if it has been.)

I want this fight for much the same reason as you. I mean I don't think either can do any serious harm to each other like other welters can do to them. The two camps were in negotiations from what I remember before Chico signed on to square off with Clottey. Woud love to see Baldomir - Clottey and Gatti - Chico on the same card

The fight makes SO much sense and would be an awesome sendoff for both. The HBO - Showtime thing could get in the way though maybe.

I would like both to look after themselves to be honest, but if they cannot resist then it would be a very fair scrap..

My a$$ this fight wouldnt be huge.... This match would pit 2 of this decades most exciting blood and gut warriors who NEVER back down an inch.... Last time I checked these 2 have a tremendous fan base, more so Gatti, especially in New Jersey much like Tyson, Arturo could sell out the Boardwalk masturbating

That would be such an entertaining fight. I could see like 5 or 6 knockdowns and it going the distance..would be a great fight but I would hope Gatti would win. Corrales would probably pull it off tho, outboxing Gatti.

Gatti is 5'7 and Coralles is 5'10 not to mention Gatti has taken more of beating than Diego throughout his career.. I definetly favor Diego in this one

Corrales by KO. I don't think I would like to see this fight though,Gatti getting stopped by the feather fisted Baldo says it all and Chico has taken waaaaaaaay too many shots, and the beating from Clottey was just about enough.

I favor Gatti because he's naturally bigger in muscle and build than Diego, and not to mention how Diego loves mixing it up on the inside.....ie he gives his height away.

Perfect swan song fight for Gatti to go out on
