Dempsey used to soak his fists in BRINE (weakly salted water), not olive oil.
Jack reckoned that this toughened up the skin and healed any grazes etc more quickly. He also soaked his face in it as he believed it toughened that skin too and stopped him getting cut.
Perhaps Ricky Hatton made the same mistake and has been soaking his face in Olive Oil instead?
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
