    Default Corrales fears Casamayor

After just watching FNF, I think it's obvious Corrales fears Casamayor. What's this bring me a title bullshit? Corrales is coming off a knock out loss! Corrales should be 0-2 against Casamayor and he knows it

Well he should be scared. He lost twice and has tasted the canvas 3 times in their fights with each other. His best offensive slugging output and boxing output wasn't enough to stop or knockout Casamayor and he obviously can't outbox him so he has reason to fear him. Same reason Freitas fears Casamayor. 3 points were taken away that shouldn't have been and even then Casamayor would have only won by a point and thats ridiculous! He won that fight by about 5.

I just call it like I see it. But Casamayor should by all intents and purposes be undefeated. He's got hall of fame credentials, he beat Freitas(unbeaten) Corrales twice, Castillo and Almazbek Raiynkulov(undefeated). The Corrales Castillo fight was a battle of two Casamayor opponents who didn't want a rematch and its fucked up that Casamayor gave Corrales a rematch he didnt have to but Corrales doesnt'want to give Casamayor a third shot and why? because he knows he lost both times. But I really think it's unfair to ask for a rematch, then get it and then not give the other person a third fight if they ask for it. If Casamayor didn't give Corrales that rematch where is Corrales today? On ESPN every 4th week.

Yeah Casamayor is the better of the two, but what has he done lately & remember the Draw with Kid Diamond (could have easily been a loss) You gotta give Corrales respect he'd fight anyone, I'd love to see a 3rd fight between Corrales & Casamayor, seems to me like the best fight available for Corrales. I'd have to take Casamayor on a decision though.

If Corrales was ever gonna give Casamyor a rematch he would have given it to him right after the 2nd fight but he rather go and face a guy Casamayor already beat(Freitas)

Casamayor didn't look to great tonight though, maybe he would step it up against a better opponent like Corrales but he still missed a lot of easy shots. His opponent was covering up for long periods of time and Casamayor refused to go downstairs to an open body, he instead beat away at the gloves and slipped very few shots through when he did have a very clear opening.

He went where the money was, can't blame him for that. Fretias was still technically undefeated so was considered higher up the chain.

Pretty much. Casamayor is a good fighter, don't know why he is all of a sudden #1 contender though, last time out he got a draw against Kid Diamond, whom he deserved a W against, and tonight beat a solid veteran. He appears to be slowing down. Corrales outboxed him the second time around for sure IMO. Corrales is lucky to have been Knocked out last fight and still be champ though. Honestly I think Freitas and Casamayor should fight it out and have the winner face Chico again.

On FNF against Lamont Pearson. Stopped him on a cut, but Pearson didn't want any more by then was runnin and had just been unofficially dropped.

Casamayor is definately the top contender @ lightweight, followed by Julio Diaz. Freitas isn't even in the picture

Yes, if I had not seen the fights (or the highlights from last night ) I would have thought that Casamayor left on a stretcher by the way Corrales talked. He sounded ridiculous. CC
