I took out my head gear last night to spar and there was this fucking nasty orange fucking shit growing on it. It was fucking gross! I found some cleaner around the gym and tried to clean it off which I guess I did but that turned it from some fucking nasty shit that smelled kind of bad into the memory of some nasty shit and a new horrible chemical smell.
Once I started sparing I forgot all about it but it was nasty putting it on.
The moral of the story is, well, I don't know but watch out for fucking nasty shit growing on your gear.

As for airing out, I train pretty much every day and it's been like a swamp down here for a couple of weeks. I guess my shit just ain't drying out like it usually does.
As for the rest of you, yea, you think your hard! but wait till you are posed with the choice of putting some fungal infested stinky ass shit on your head! Then we'll see how bad you want it!

Something you might try. I bought a mesh gym bag from Title so when I throw it in my car after a workout my equipment can get some air and dry out a little. I always hang up my handwraps to dry after a workout.
