Default Schaefer Barrios in The Mix For Marquez Bout or MAB rematch(no Pacman fight:()

WBC super featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez will face former champion Marco Antonio Barrera in a title rematch on September 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena or Argentinean Jorge Barrios.Schaefer responded to Arum’s comments belittling Marquez pointing out that when Marquez was with Arum he always said he was “the best fighter in that particular weight class and now since he’s not with him anymore suddenly Marquez is nothing.”

I don't think I need to see an MAB rematch,as great as the first fight was,JMM won clearly.I wanted to see a PAC fight

It's funny how when they were both Arum fighters up until like 5 months ago, Arum never felt the urgency to make the match.

And who the hell is managing Barrios? Guzman and Marquez....those are about two of the most nightmare style matchups out there for him. Freitas, Diaz, Barrera, Pacquiao, Morales, Casamayor or even Valero all make for a fairly good fight for him and he has a shot of winning them all imo, but Marquez just obliterates him imo.

Bring on the MAB - JMM fight I could see that 1000 times and would never complain. IMO, the first one was ridiculously close even though over the course of the entire fight JMM was probably more effective.

    Then Pac - Valero

    Then Barrios - Diaz/Freitas

And then you have 3 FOTY quality fights. I am down for the MAB - JMM rematch but I can see how people want JMM - Pac II, but it's never happening imo.

I TOTALLY agree,JMM v mab was an all time classic but MAB was saying that was his best camp since v Nas and EM 3 and I thought JMM saw the best of him and beat him comfortably. Pac-JMM2 is unresolved business and IF they wait any longer to make,JMM will be further on the slide, his defence is already on the wane!

As for Barrios, you're totally right,he struggles against any world class technician imo. Although in his last fight,he was punching straighter,he was open to counters alllll niight long and no one counters better than JMM P4P imo.

Pac will fight Valero on Macua(if they build that stadium) I think OR Soto after Soto beats his brother's ass(you can see the angle for that one). However, all of Manny's fights are dependent on his opponent so there may be a period of inactivity for the Pac monster.

Barrios Diaz would be awesome and Barrios Freitas has one of best finishes I have ever seen!

I want to see Soto JMM,seeing that JMM is far more open now,it would play up the strenghts of he tall, strong,Soto who has an excellent jab and is a very very compact puncher who always throws in bunches. Would be an awesome fight! Or Soto Pac!

I don't know, I just think it was an excellent fight and while I agree JMM was the more effective fighter, scoring on a round to round basis it was extremely close and I don't think either fighter would spread the scoring gap to much more in a second fight unless Barrera just got old. Plus, if JMM doesn't fight MAB then I'm scared MAB will retire. As a MAB fan, I want just one more.

And yeah, tacticians don't spell well for Barrios who is P4P one of boxing's most exciting fighters imo.

Forgot about Soto, when does Soto fight Bobby? On the Cotto - Judah card right? That could be interesting, Soto is really awkward. I wonder how well he handles pressure, I guess we'll see when he fights Bobby.

And I have no idea what Macau is.
