saw this yesterday - pretty gory for a trailer ??!??
Apparently its not due for release till May 08 (according to imdb) but by looks of trailer I'd say the film looks pretty much complete ??
shame Richard Crenna has dies - would have been nice to see Trautman back.
Hope they call the film 'John Rambo'![]()
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
The third Rambo was utter crap. I do really like the first one though.
Im not too sure how I feel after seeing that trailer. Stallone looks so old with that wannabe mullet.![]()

I nearly exploded when Stallone announced a new Rocky and Rambo. Rocky and First Blood are two of my favorite movies of all time, both top 10 for sure. However, I was scepticle of both but I'm such a fan I couldn't help but being extremely excited.
I went to Rocky expecting to laugh at how ridiculous and absurd on paper it was, and it was a VERY GOOD movie. Honestly, it was a fantastic movie, and even my movie buff friend thinks that.
So I'll look forward to this actually being a good film on top of it being absolutely badass.
cc munk even if it is crap i cant wait to find out!!!
COuld have used him in Vietnam![]()

heck yes i cant wait for this movie. still looks awesome. stalone is a legend.
When I first started watching that I was amazed by how cheesy the dialogue and what a lame copy of the same storyline blueprint as the third one it was. Then i saw how violent some of the scenes in this movie are. That might be what saves it. Throw in some good throat-ripping, disemboweling, super-realistic Green Beret-style slaughter scenes and any Rambo movie might be worth going to see to bring back some good old childhood memories. Fuck it. I'm in. That can't be the trailer they are going to be releasing though. Some of those scenes were just too bloody for a preview or trailer. Cool. Thanks for the post...![]()
hahahaha CC that made me laugh. Can't fucken wait.Originally Posted by diamonddavestafford

i heard after this movie if we're all lucky he'll do STOP OR MY MOM WILL SHOOT PART II!!!!!!!![]()
The first film was really very good.
As per usual with Stallone, he clearly has a limited range and few ideas as he just takes a movie franchise and then gets ridicilous about it (I mean, Rocky IV and Rambo III were both among the worst films I have ever seen in my life - absolute crap)
The problem with this type of thing is also that politics change. I recall Rambo fighting alongside the nice friendly Mujahideen who were clearly the good guys struggling for their little country against the mighty Red Army. I remember Rambo fighting for their freedom from the evil big country foreign invaders. Now that they have booted the Russians out and turned into Al-Quaeda, and now WE are the evil big country foreign invaders in Afghanistan (!).
Didn't really catch the 'plot' of the new film, but it looked a bit like Vietnam ....... I suspect that's a bit easier in this political day and age and they don't want the Rambo brand being politicised by being associated with Iraq, or Sudan, Bosnia, Kuwait etc.
Ol' Sly must really need the money to pay for his steroid convictions
ho hum.
