    Default Wladimir's November opponent is.......

Hasim Rachman. Dan Rafael(espn.com) reported today that the two camps have been in discussions about a November fight if Wlad beats Brewster.

    Disappointing.

    Totally agree.

This would indeed be the weakest decision that Wlad could take.

While I do respect Wlad for taking Brewster on again to solidify his name...I'll be disappointed if Wlad doesn't shoot for the other titlists.

I read this, and immediately I thought back to my Sports Illustrated from a couple weeks ago. In that, Wlad said regarding his standing atop the division this.

"I'm top. I'm not as top as I'd like to be, but I'm topper then the others."

And how exactly is fighting Austin, Brewster and Rahman in 2007 going to make Wlad as top as he'd like to be? This better not go through. The only person I want to see fight Rahman right now is Wlad's brother, Vitali Klitschko. But I'm not even sure he ever gets in the ring again.

It looks like Wlad is becoming the Joe Calzaghe of the heavyweight division.

Everyone knows Wlad would fight ANYONE put infront of him....Don King is behind this!

Easy win for Wlad though.....anyone remember Lewis-Rahman II? Wlad-Rahman will make that look HUMANE

    Austin was the IBF MANDATORY

Brewster is something to pass time with AND avenge a loss

Rahman....I don't believe he'll fight Hasim and if he does it's probably because K2 feels bad for Rahman due to the lack of a title fight vs Vitali.

I doubt a Rahman fight happens unless a unification fight is out of reach

Then I HIGHLY doubt he has any chance at all of beating Wlad....and I mean NOT EVEN A PUNCHER'S CHANCE!

Hasim The Dream, we should call him,
cause he's getting every chance in the world to get it since he hit Lewis.

Hope Hasim dies of skin cancer. He's been on HBO just about as much as Tyson! haha

    WTH...

And Klit isn't getting off this one too easy either.
When the hell are the titles going to be unified. All this hbo talk.

I understand Austin, and I understand Brewster. But he's said a bunch of times that he wants a big fight. Well, a big fight would be another titlist. And there is no way a unification bout is out of reach. For 1, Ibragimov hasn't even won his title yet. So I doubt they got into any type of negotiations. Maskaev and Peter haven't fought yet. And he should try hard for Maskaev. Really, his camp should, honestly.

Even if you can't get a unification fight, there are a lot better fights out there then Rahman. I wouldn't really mind Sergei if a unification bout was out of reach. Can't defend that Lyle. If he's going to fight Rahman, he should have either dropped the IBF or realized that or not fought Brewster. Don't really care what the circumstances are, that is a pathetic year for a top heavyweight.

cc Back. Wlad shouldnt be looking past anyone, especially a guy who knows he can knock him out. Brewster has to win if he wants to re-establish his career and he will come to fight like he did vs. Golata.

I am sure Wladimir's people have tried to set up fights against the other title holders but obviously it wouldn't be Briggs or Maskaev because they are both fighting other opponents. It seems Wladimir can never please everyone. He is fighting Brewster to avenge his loss and silence some of the skeptics out there and now people are complaining that he isn't fighting the top guys in the division because there are talks he might fight Rahman!Give me a break he is only 31 years old and has 51 pro fights under his belt give him a break!
