Ketchel was a middleweight who fought Jack Johnson for the heavyweight title.

It was prearranged before hand that the fight was an exhibtion but late into the fight Ketchel caught Johnson flush and put him down.

Johnson got up and with one punch put Ketchel to sleep on the canvas and took out 5 of his front teeth for good meausure.

....he was a middleweight it would have been absolutely AMAZING for a former welterweight to knockdown a great heavyweight like Jack Johnson
