Default Oscar trying to sabotage Floyd's plans with Hatton???

    http://boxingtalk.com/pag/article12760.html

An interview will appear soon. Is Oscar trying to scupper Floyd's' plans?? It seems coincidental he wants to fight Hatton at the same time Floyd wants to fight him. Where would the fight take place,154? That would NOT be good for Hatton BUT he would make a ton more $$$ than he would v Floyd!

Nope,I think they are merely at the negotiations stage. Nothing has been set in stone just yet, that is the impression I got from reading about the fight.

I dont think Oscar has enough left to fight at Hattons pace. I would rather see Hatton fight Mayweather, because I think thats a great matchup. Hattons whirling dervish style will offset a lot of Floyds abilities and make it a competitive fight. I wasnt so sure when Hatton was fighting nobodies, but his style is proving to work on the upper level of comp as well.

Well if the Oscar fight is at 154(because I doubt he would be able to make 147 anymore),Oscar would be bigger, stronger, and hits harder at the weight. I think he would beat Hatton up something bad. That is the biggest stumbling block for a Hatton Oscar fight, the weight. May be a catch weight? I'd rather see Floyd Hatton although Hatton would make much more for an Oscar fight.

Why the f is everyone so gung-ho about fighting Hatton (ie: Oscar and Floyd)........ but no one even looks Margarito's or Cotto's way? Could it be that both DLH and PBF perceive Hatton as easy pickings? The biggest glory with the least risk? As El Gamo very well put it? I don't get it.

    fighting hatton = bigger money.
If oscar is serious, he will win this bid, because oscar unlike floyd will fight at Wembley. And if you fight at Wembley, wow what an experience. I'm a proud american, but if i had the choice to experience a sport in Vegas or wembley i'd choose wembley hands down, you just cannot compare the atmosphere. Especially if you go to wembley and win.
I bet its something oscar would cherish for life.

That is exactly it brother. Hatton is a good fighter,a toughter...at 140. At 147,it's Cotto and(hopefully) Tony Margarito as the tough guys. They are the dangermen. Hatton is highest risk, lowest reward.Simple as. Why would you want to fight 2 big, strong, rugged, power punching WW like Cotto and Tony for less$$$ when you can fight the not as bad,not as tough but still a good fighter in Hatton for more$$$?

All I know is,whatever happens,Floyd HAS to fight the winner of WW tournament and the only place I disagree with you Titofan is that I think it is going to be Margarito. That would be ironic.

Everybody here brings up a good point. cc for the thought.
The Oscar factor screws up everything.... I think Golden Boy beats off to that thought.

We'll be on opposite sides of the fence for THAT one, my friend. We both like and respect both fighters, and we agree it should be one HELL of a fight (Cotto-Margarito). Me, I'll be watching that fight (assuming Tony gets by Williams first) on the edge of my seat, like I used to watch all of Tito's fights.

Simple, Oscar wants to make hatton a golden boy fighter + knows he fights him in the Uk they could seel over 100k tickets like in the days louis fought shemling in the yankie stadium... + massive PPV

As for Floyd, he is pissed off and wnats to shut hattons mouth - and he will, i honestly believe after mayweather is done with hatton we wont hear much form him again. Toni is busy with williams, and Cotto has the winner, so that rules both of those out... the only other one really is SSM, dunno whats up with that yet tho... so right now hatton v mayweather makes sense.

Yeah, they are my 2 favourite fighters which is why Tony HAS to beat PW imo. It would be an amazing fight though! I think it'll be one of the few times we'll have disagreed and one of the few times you've been wrong lol.
