Default RJJ's coach calls Mayweather Sr. a bum!

Hanshaw sounds pretty fired up for this fight, but I felt the comments from RJJ's coach were right on the money. After Floyd Sr called Jones Jr a "glass-chinned bum", Alton Merkerson said the only "for sure bum around here is Mayweather". He's got a point too, and the comments should be between the two fighters.

Hanshaw and Mayweather Sr are betting on a shot and bum Roy to show up for this fight but if Roy comes in at even 70 percent of what he was then Hanshaw is going to regret his trash talking. Hanshaw talking as if he deserves to be recognized on the huge stage as Roy's name is, if he wants his name go and make a name for yourself. None of that "my name is too small on the billboards" stuff. He sounds like Tarver a little. "left side"

Who cares about what two pretentious talkers say about each other, the Superman and the Predator alien look alike? I remember when Floyd Jr fought Corrales (RIP) and he didn't even give his father a credential to get in the ring, RJJ took his and gave it to him, later Larry would get both Papa Floyd and Roger in opposite sides of Pretty Boy and ask him " What was Floyd Sr's and what was Roger's part in you winning tonight?", Pretty Boy was like "huh, yeah, yo know..." Dat's why I luv Larry

If my last name was "Mayweather" I wouldn't be throwing around "glass chin" accusations. Mayweather Sr should realize that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones... pun fully intended.

I don't understand these Mayweather's man (Roger and Floyd Sr). The way they talk shit, you'd think they were legends, but neither were any more than decent fighters more famous for getting whooped by Ray Leonard and JCC respectively than anything else. For Floyd Sr to talk shit about RJJ, a bonafide legend and IMO one of the greatest to ever lace up gloves, thats just stupid on his part.

Mayweather Sr can't help but draw attention to himself. He was humiliated on 24/7. He was portrayed to be the uninvited guest to the party. So running his mouth is the way he feels will make him the center of attention once again.

Calling Roy Jones Jr a bum just shows that Sr has hit that glass pipe one too many times. I can see if he said washed up. Or a fighter past his prime grasping for glory once again but a BUM!!!

This is a man who ruled the P4P list for as long as I can remember. If he was in his prime his name would still be on top not Mayweather Jr

Right on sister, I pretty much agree with what you've said, and other sentiments in the thread, which is basically that Mayweather is not the man to be mouthing off like this.

However, I doubt that this is Maywether full fault, he's always shown a naivety in dealing with the press, and doesn't know when to stop mouthing off.

...two trainers trying to hype the fight hillarious. RJJ took it back to third grade not allowing hanshaw to use his equipment. Remember those days "My mom said nobody can play with my shit" !! They gotta do something to get people to pay for a fight this weekend.

Roy said that if someone asked you to ue your house right before they intended to do it then you'd say "no" too. He said that if Hanshaw and his team had asked him days before politely rather then the exact day then he may have gotten a different answer

Not for nothing but why should a fighter trailer equipment from his home to set up a training facility for his opponent. Especially an opponent who claimed would retire him and a Loud mouth trainer that claimed his fighter would "starch" roy in under 6 rounds.

For the sake of arguement, let say he lets Hanshaw use his equipment and something goes awry and its unusable to Roy when Roy wanted to use it? Roy would have noone to blame but himself for being unprepared. This is a fight. Hanshaw could have brought his own equipment but he chose not to.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.
