Carl Johanneson got blasted out again!

He didnt look write from the first bell looked very tentive to throw shots no head movement at all.He did show heart to keep on fighting but he was outclassed badly.Should he really of been in there with that guy after he was blown away by him in 1 round last time they fought.

Yep it was a pity. Seen plenty of him around the domestic scene recently and had hoped he might have been able to make the step up but Kirakosayan was far too good (again!). Seemed to have the last KO is his head from the start and was trying to get through the first few rounds rather than come forward - his lack of head movement cost him badly.

Pretty honest interview from Frank Maloney at the end too - Carl's level may be a good domestic. Better pray that Kirakosayan retires soon if he's going to have a chance at the European title.

He has to go down to domestic level and regroup at that level and get some confidence maybe try again when Kirakosayan is'nt around.

I wouldn't be so quick to put it down to him not being up to European level. He was beat before a punch was thrown, for obvious reasons.

Get his confidence back then have a go for the European belt again when Kirakosayan he moves on,read that he might be getting a title shot that will mean he will vact the belt so he might get a shot again soon.

I thought it was a bit rash for Maloney to say Carls found his level at good domestic...as you said, he needs to get his confidence back. I don't think the fact that Kirakosayan seriously has his number means he couldn't live with the likes of Alex Arthur.

Something turned up last nite couldnt make it. Was it a good show shame about Carl step to far, how did Fewkes look anygood Im becoming a fan of Johns great kid. Dont think weve seen the best of him yet.

Fewkes looked really good although he was quite badly stunned at one point.

His lack of power has to be a worry though. Up in class he's never gonna get an easy night.
