Actually this would make for a great mini tournament with the winners fighting each other. In fact with Williams, De La Hoya, Cintron and Margarito as well we could have an excellent 8 man tournament.

You're comparing apples to oranges, though. The UFC is one league where everyone is under the authority of the same person.
There is no boxing "league." There are multiple liscensing boards/commission.

It's not King and Arum you'd want replaced, instead you'd want one commissioner replacing the WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO, etc.

Exactly... and if Dana White and Zuffa only had control over certain fighters while other promoters had a chokehold on others and different titles etc., Dana white would be/seem just as big a menace to his sport as King or Arum are.. If Don King promoted every single boxer out there and had the last word over every sanctioning body, what reason would he have to stop the best matchups from being made?

I think Top Rank and GBP will promote and hype this fight very well and you know how good they are doing that kind of stuff
