Around 300,000 buys seems to be the figure always released.. Oscar fights aside.
So I guess it's pretty much par for the course.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
I remember Mayweather - Judah did 350, and Oscar fights always do a bunch but 300 is a lot of money. Times that by 50 and then add the live gate and you have A LOT of money brought in so yeah it doesn't surprise me that that was the second.
I'm surprised it sold that many buys, but that's good news for Winky and B-Hop. Does anyone know how many buys Cotto-Judah did?
Arum said they needed about 150,000 to break even and ended up selling about 225,000. So, that fight did OK.Originally Posted by CFH
Congratz to them, but something tells me that they will dropp from that #2 spot befor the year is done.
big names atract big crowds
mainly i think it ws hopkins
WTF i wish there was more boxing fans...
A fight like Williams-Margarito or Cotto-Judah should have made way more money than they did. I always thought Wright-Hopkins would do well and it was an exciting fight, though I think at a lower weight Winky could have made it even more exciting, but his footwork was exceptionally slow that night.
I'm not sure "exciting is the word I would use for itOriginally Posted by Taeth

Williams-Margarito wasn't PPV, at least here in the states.Originally Posted by Taeth

You think Pac -MAB does more??
i think its the 2nd fight worth to be a ppv
I guess, it will do more than mayweather vs de la hoya.Originally Posted by skel1983
In terms of excitement. But again, Pacquaio will not be given credit as MAB is considered to be past his prime. If MAB wins, it will do good to his career.
