Default I feel sorry for Gonzalez!

Just watched the penalosa fight and wow how fucking unlucky was johnny? credit to penalosa, kept trying didnt stop and threw a perfect body shot... but to me shots like that are on in a million, they are not a regular thing for a fighter to win by, he went for the body, ducked the hook from johnny superbly, but with johnny turning his body and leaving that zone open, damn that i had johnny needing one more round before gery needed a ko or to put him down a few times to win.

don't get me wrong, i dont wanna take anything away from the pinoy fella, but god damn hes on lucky son of a bitch, he hit him right on the button, there aint shit u can do in the gym to protect that spot, and if you commit to a punch and get hit on it, end of story good night irene...

good lil fight tho, can't see gery holding that belt for long tho, to small, to slow, doesnt move well enough, doesn't throw enough punches at a time, good lil fighter tho, big heart, nice for him to get a belt before he retires tho.

Don't feel sorry for Jhonny. He was winning all rounds. He fought a good fight.

Gerry had a hard time with Gonzalez coz they're both excellent boxers. But a win is a win. Gerry stuck with Roach's plans and it took 7 rounds to execute it. That was NO lucky punch.

Give the Pinoys some credits. 5 is always greater than 1. 3 KOs is always greater than 1 KO.

    Nuff said.

Nah, he'll be fine..its not like he was undefeated, if anything this will get him more fights, because people will not fear him as much. He is still a factor, he wont fade away after this.

Same thing happened in the Vazquez fight Jhonny had it under control, gotta give Israel credit for the heart he showed coming back.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

but that ONE KO was a lot more spectacular than any of the other wins, he KO'd a young tough, unbeaten fighter, although he was put in there way too early

Agreed. I've bitched about that before the fight. ODLH should've matched RB with another prospect... a mexican prospect. And made the Penalosa-Gonzalez as the main event instead (in my opinion).

For Bautista maybe. But not for the ones who understand his situation. RB wasn't the who lost his belt, Gonzalez did. That's the one that hurt a lot.

He is still a promising and an excellent fighter but weak chinned . He should look at his defeat as a good experience and learn from his mistakes.

I'm actually more concerned of how Gerry will be defending the crown. He may not hold it for long considering his age. That's one problem with lucky shot. You can't have it all the time.

Anyway, gerry has abilities to depend. He is even thinking of fighting de leon to prove his worth. Now, that would be exciting.

I understand but dont discredit PDL he is at his prime and I do agree that RB could of taken on some weaker opposition, but he felt ready so he or anyone should understand the situation this is boxing. Its like saying prime Morales, Barrera against Pac. but why discredit Pac its his time to shine no excuses.
