This happened today.

My question is this..................



What if there was a 6 month old baby crawling around on the floor when these dogs came in. As revolting (and sad) as the thought is, that scenario has happened MANY times. These aren't golden retrievers, they're pitbulls. It's in their nature to kill, and even the most docile pit, or the most pampered pit can (and has way more times than any other species) turn on it's owner (including their children) and attack.


(Don't answer if you don't have kids)
Would you ever leave your baby in the room alone with a golden retriever? Probably




A pit? Didn't think so.


I'm not saying they're all bad (I've encountered a couple cool ones).............. I'm saying that as a whole, they are far more aggressive (and dangerous) than any other species of dog.

Frozen I like to like your post, but this is too lame.


For the record if a pitbull is raised in a good environment ( ie not beaten, starved, hit, forced to fight, etc.) then it will likely turn out to be a great, secure, obediant family dog.

These dogs arent born monsters. It is monsters that turn them into monsters and breed them to give them a life or horror, pain and death for the owners entertainment.

I don't have dogs. Am afraid I can't control them. In any situation, whether the dog is tamed or not, I will not leave my baby alone with a dog.

I had dogs all my life including now married with children( not the show ). PEts specially dogs you have to spent time to time around them play with them and also letting them know when they are doing something wrong with abbuse. That way the will respect you and love you( try o push me or something in front of my dog) I mean the trick is spending time with them.

Pitbulls are a very dangerous animals because of their nasal situation. Dogs don't recognize you by seeing you, they recognize you by smelling you and at times by our voice. Like I said before Pitbulls are very aggresive animals when they don't know who you are at least most of them not all. so if their sense of smell is locked (very natural on pitbulls) they will attack you.

Ive got a big Staff 22" at the shoulder 5st hes a big lad. Hes as daft as a brush, with kids hes fantastic plays but when hes had enougth he just goes upstairs to bed. now I look at him and think your granddad was all Irish fighting champion and his grandson is a Wally never had a fight, wouldnt change him thougth hes lovely

The leading breed in dog attacks was actually Black Labs
1998 the leading breed in dog attack deaths was Rottweillers
In 1979 there were no Rottweiller related deaths

Unprovoked and this guy had grown up with the dog. These are dangerous dogs, I don't think there is any questioning that. Some of them are nice. I like pit bulls but I think questioning there aggressive or protective genes is like denying global warming at this point.
Also pit bulls might not have the number one dog attacks per breed in a year, but I would wager they are the top breed % wise because of thier numbers. Practically 5% of black labs could be mean and there would still be more lab attacks than if half of the pit bulls in th country attacked someone.

Why have Rottweiller related death risen year by year
Its who owns them,and how their raised
Go back and look at the breeds history,when they came to the states around the turn of the century they were considered the ultimate family dog

The next big popular dog for fighting is allready becoming Chows
After that it'll probably be Bull Mastiffs,or that weird hybrid breed that was involved in that fatal attack in SF a few years back
