Default Tarver to defend against Danny Green

    Has this been posted already?

Should be a decent fight and I hope Green beats Tarver.

By Paul Upham: Green Machine Promotions, the company of light heavyweight contender Danny Green, announced on Friday that the Australian will challenge IBO light heavyweight world champion Antonio Tarver on December 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York, USA on Showtime Championship Boxing.

“We just received confirmation today and the fight is on,” Justin Manolikos from Green Machine Promotions told SecondsOut.

34 year-old ’Green Machine’ Green 24-3 (22) from Perth has twice previously challenged for the WBC super middleweight world title, losing on both occasions to Markus Beyer in Germany. In December 2003, Green stopped tough Canadian Eric Lucas to win the WBC Interim super middleweight world title.

38 year-old ’Magic Man’ Tarver 25-4 (1 from Tampa, USA is the former undisputed world champion and last fought on June 9 where he won a points decision over Elvir Muriqi.

Green looks good at LHW so hopefully he does beat Tarver altho Danny has always struggled to beat proven opponents unfortunately. Cos he is good to watch and can Bang.

I think Tarver takes Green apart and stops him late

At 38 Tarver could be ripe for the taking! I'd love to see Green KO his A**

Should be a great fight. Green is durable and can KO anybody on his day but he tends to get a bit gunshy when on the big stage.

I'd say Tarver should be able to outbox him but it has the potential to be a great fight and I'd like to see either of these guys play a role in the future of the 175 lb division.

Green is a knock out machine. Tarver make no mistake about it.
