First off, this is a WAY better fight than anything else this season. Migeul is outclassed, but he worked hard and got respect for showing up. The stuff with Jaidon's pops really go to me. I felt for the kid.

I thought Miguel could've won the fight. He was landing effective body shots and stunned Johnson upstairs several times.
The fight was alright, both guys looked pretty average. But they did match up well.
I was distracted while watching though, didnt hear the part about Jaidon's dad. But most of the episodes give me a little lump in the throat. I always feel bad seeing the fighter's families and the hope they have to win...cue the dramatic music and I turn soft
They gave Jaidon the news that his father died. I had read that it was asuicide. So he got pretty emotional, as you can imagine. SRL had to console him. Talk about a lump in your throat.
Where is the contender being held this year, I watched last night and it was Sam Soliman fighting, we are a week behind here. anybody know ?
The fight was decent.. but take a look at who is left.. it seems like a breeze for Smith and Bika to get past the two less-skilled/experienced gold teammates. Looking forward to seeing both Bika and Smith fight, but REALLY looking forward to see who will be fighting int he semi-finals.. seems like there will be some good matchups when you look at who could be there.
Two of the judges scores were overwelming in a fight i thought miguel could have possibly won.

Yeah I was surprised when I heard 50-45 cause Miguel had that one real good round where he hurt Johnsen, I think the third.Originally Posted by Mar
If I recall correctly the scores were 50-45, 50-45 and 48-47 so that means Johnsen has 11 points right?
And that would mean Soliman is definately in the final four, am I correct in this?
Again if I recall correctly Soliman has 12 points. How many points did Jaidon get for his KO, I don't remember
how they scored KOs.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
Dont mean to go off on a tangent but was it really suicide? I felt terrible for the guy either way and I hope he does well, but thats really weird if it is... I was just watching this show pirate master (cheesey reality show that was taken off the air after the 3rd episode... but i love anything pirate) and they dedicated the last episode (only aired online) to one of the contestants. I later found out that she had killed herself. One website pointed out that it was the second suicide by a contestant on a mark burnett show because someone from one of the early seasons of contender did the same shortly after leaving. So now this would sort of be three... I think in only 3 years.
Ok, sorry... I'm sure no one cares but I just thought that was kind of a strange coincidence.
That aside, I thought it was a good episode too. Neither of the fighters seemed all that talented but they did match up well. Miguel seemed to go a little far for the cameras afterwards with that 'always remember to follow your dreams' speech to his kids though.
It was quite a good fight Miguel was totally outclassed and Johnson just used his jab and sometimes the right hand and was pretty effective Miguel had his moments but was outclassed but Miguel tried his hardest and i give him props for his effort but i knew before the fight he would be beaten easy.Originally Posted by mikey100
not the best fight talent wise but a pretty even matchup, shame for jaidon hope he now goes on to win it, smitty and bika should walk there last 2 fights.
