i thought the topic was about the knight templar of the black and white book
Doesn't surprise me. I just finished a book about Galileo. It took the church until the 1990's to pardon him for supporting the theory that the earth revolves around the sun.
Wonder how long it will take them to catch onto the fact that their "savior" isn't real and pardon all the people with that current belief......Originally Posted by Canvasback

....this is all very exciting stuff, I read "Born In Blood" a book about the Knights Templar and how they may have become the Freemasons and I have always wondered about the initiation rituals of the Templars, maybe this will provide some evidence
who wrote that and how long ago was it written?Originally Posted by Lyle
John J. Robinson wrote it and I think it was published in 1990....extremely good book though
yea I looked it up, sounds very interesting I'm going to see if I can find it anywhere. I can prolly find it on ebay, I find almost every book there.Originally Posted by Lyle
You won't be disappointed it's very informative and he doesn't just draw a conclusion he explains why the Freemasons are a seemingly good fit for the Templars (who were also big into building Churches) as a clandestine means of keeping their brotherhood together.
Books like The DaVinci Code base their plots on the connections Robinson makes and I only mention that because he was the one who really brought that theory to light and it's now considered common knowledge as a theory but the way it's explained gives you more insight and understanding of the Templars and the Freemasons.
The Freemasons are completely different from the Templar Knights. The Templars were the army of Christianity the Freemasons are of many. The tenth level of the Freemasons teaches that you worship Isis.
From wikipedia.
Membership and religion
Freemasonry explicitly and openly states that it is neither a religion nor a substitute for one. "There is no separate Masonic God", nor a separate proper name for a deity in any branch of Freemasonry.[46][47]
Regular Freemasonry requires that its candidates believe in a Supreme Being, but the interpretation of the term is subject to the conscience of the candidate. This means that men from a wide range of faiths, including (but not limited to) Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Hinduism can and have become Masons.Templars would not go for this.

I've always been interested with the brotherhoods and their secrecy, even the they at times are in doubt of the christian churches but they still surve loyally. The Davinci Code really means nothing in our time now though. Science is exposing religion and its inconsistency, I think in the near future science will be the dominant belief.Originally Posted by Lyle
guys we should put our minds together cause this topic is very very confusing and one man trying to figure the truth out will get him lost in life, believe me I tried and it mess with my life. So lets not get heated with this and just respect eachothers knowledge or lack of it.
