    Default Ipod Transfer Question???

How do I transfer non purchased songs to a new computer, I have downloaded Itunes on my comp but it has a block (Is There a way around this)on all non purchased tracks, I have well over 2,000 ....So burning and ripping CD's is not an option. I tried some products like Yamipod and a few others without resolve. Anybody have this problem? Thanks in advance!

Duke heres how I do it.

I download a song from LimeWire then I open another screen where I have all my music files. I find the folder in which I want to place the song/s in. Now I open both screens at the same time and make them as small as I need to in order to see both screens at the same time. I then drag the songs from my library on LimeWire into the folder which I've chosen to place the songs in. Once the songs have transfered from LimeWire to MyMusic folder. I then close both screens and open I-tunes.

Once I open I-Tunes I just go to File > Add File To Library. Then I find the song/s which I just transfered from LimeWire double click the file and it transfers perfectly fine. I've never had a problem with it.

I do the same thing CMM said, just click and drag them from another folder into my itunes and it automatically accepts them.

Im wondering when I get a new mp3 player..I was thinking about not getting an ipod. I wonder if it's possible to play all the songs/shows I purchased on itunes on a different player or are they protected? If not then I'm pretty much stuck with apple forever, spent way too much and have too big of a library from itunes!

I'm not sure if i quite understand what you're saying.. but if you have all of the songs you want.. ON your iPod, and you want to put those songs onto a new computer, there is a program called iDump where you can pour all your songs on your ipod onto your computer.. that should work.
