    Default Hawkins Beats Guinn!

In a near shutout. Wow, Guinn has really fallen. Even more than he has before. I do think Hawkins is better than his record may let off, but hes not a world class fighter and there was a time when people thought Guinn could be. Time for him to find a new way to pay the bills.

Haha, I looked on fightnews and it shockingly it said Guinn got "outworked", laziest motherfucker I've ever seen in a boxing ring. Just a total lack of ambition.

Actually maybe I can't say that since he did outwork Audley

I don't get this guy...He is a decent boxer with some decent power..yet he can not pull the trigger??....he is destined for either a quick retirement OR....becoming a punching bag for up and comers....

He even said himself before the fight he knows the punch output is the problem?....

I think fighters like him really prove that boxing is 85/90% Mental. Its a thinking mans sport. Sad thing for him is I dont think he is good enough top be a gatekeeper at this point. All you need is a pulse to beat this guy.

When I heard Guinn giving that same tired speech about "how this time he's focused and nothing will stand in his way," I was sick to my stomach with embarrassment.

I will never be excited to see him again.

I dont know what is worse. The fact that Audley managed to win Olympic gold. Or the fact that Guinn actually beat him

Well it's a shame he was at one point very talented but I think he just over did it in the amateurs and he's the biggest disappointment in US boxing since David Reid....and he doesn't have any injury to fall back on, he just doesn't have it anymore.

Come on VD, quit over-exaggerating there. Sadly we Brits claim the over-hyped lacklustre non-fighting machine of Harrison for ourselves, and Guinn falls much further down the scale of hype unfulfilled.

Well, be fair. I imagine that Dominic Guinn was fairly upset with another defeat....

Actually Guinn's problem is that he thinks too much. If he just had no brain and let his hands go without thinking so much about it he'd probably be great, he has the tools.

He thinks about the wrong things, like just surviving through a fight but rarely does he fight like a guy who wants to win. I think he is gun shy and doesnt have a real killer instinct. Kind of like Zuri Lawrence or Jameel McCline. And a heavyweight wont go far without those things even if he has some talent.

Robert "Big Philly" Hawkins manhandled the inferior and hughly overmatched Guinn. He showed better boxing skills and a lot more heart and toughness than that bum Guinn! Guinn provided no competition for Big Philly in this fight and Hawkins whipped Guinn's ass with only two weeks notice! Hawkins hurt Guinn repeatedly with viscious bodyshots and snapped Guinn's head back whenever he felt like it with uppercuts inside. Big Philly clearly could have knocked out Guinn if he felt like it, but instead he wanted to punish Dominick by busting up his body. Hawkin's inihilation of Guinn clearly spells the end of his career. Guinn took the worst beating of his carreer at the hands of the tougher and much better skilled fighter, Robert "Big Philly" Hawkins. At no point in Guinn's career would he ever have competed against Hawkins. Hawkins would have given Guinn the same type of beating if he fought him early in his career. My man Big Philly Hawkins embarrassed Guinn and used him for a human punching bag throughout this fight! Hawkins mastered Guinn in every round of this fight and gave his a boxing lesson as well as a whuppin!
