    Default David Haye Spoiler

Well what next for Haye ?? i think he can win a belt against one of the lesser Heavyweights and maybe has a shot against Wlad due to his amazing power Haye vs Wlad could be happening in 2009.

He should stay away from Wlad imo.

If he boosts up to about 210-215 and keeps his speed, I think he will win the heavyweight crown.

He relies on his power too much. Against a guy like Wlad he will pay dearly imo. Mormeck is only 5'11 and not a big puncher just very strong, so that fight is no indicator of how he would do against a big heavyweight. He would probably do well against Chagaev, but Wlad or even Valuev would be bad fights for him. Plus chin isnt going to be better at heavyweight, not that he has a bad chin but like i said Mormeck is not a big one punch guy.

ICB think about what you just said there...Haye is a small HW..who would have some pop against guys like Sultan or Chagev maybe win one of those title but against Wlad ...He was knocked down against Mormeck....He would not be getting up against Wlad....Two jabs and the straight right hand Haye will be knocked all the way back into the Super Middleweights

He had a good win tonight...I am curious if he can keep the momentum or will it go to his head?....

The one thing that concerns me about Haye moving to Heavyweight is this quote:

"In his last bout, he moved up to heavyweight and, at 217 pounds, blasted out WBC top-fifteen ranked heavyweight Tomasz Bonin. He knocked him down three times in this one round demolition in London. Haye believes he can fight not just as a 217 pound heavyweight but at 230 pounds."

Why would he want to bulk up so much? It would only take away much of his natural advantages IMO.

Before anyone get's all up in the air over Haye...let's not stretch it to the point that he'd have a shot at Wlad.

    Come on now.

Granted I didn't see the match tonight, I have seen Haye fight...& Wlad would eat him for lunch.

I think he's going to shock ALOT of people at heavyweight.

Obviously he's miles away from fighting behemoths like Wlad, at the moment, but the guy is ONLY 27 and has got serious arsehole

Win or lose Haye will give you a good fight.

Serious arsehole? I'm sure something gay--ish will be derived from it.

He's one of those guys that I truely believe wants to PROVE himself by fighting the best anywhere, anytime

Thats what I like about him.

Win or lose the guy will entertain.

Was a time when i thought Haye was going to be the shit at heavy, i mean he really imrpessed me at one point, now not so much...

Sure he has a big big punch, but shit the boy has no defence. He looks great when he is given time to do his thing, but he lacks the ability at least at the moment to create the time and space he needs, it's only when he is fighting lesser apponents or ones who tire out when he is able to do that.

Wlad will smash him into next week with his jab and power, sorry but haye right now will get destroyed against Wlad unless he lands a lucky big shot and puts him to sleep. I think Peter, tue, any strong pressure fighter who has a high out put will cause him all sorts of trouble and he has a dodgy chin that people knew of before this fight, he needs to learn to defend.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt though. He did look alot better against bonin, regardless of him being seconed rate, haye did look a lot fresher and seemed to believe he could work at a high rate without worrying about tiring towards the end, so it's hard to say cause i kinda got the feeling today that Haye was trying to do just enough to make sure he didn't tire out. I'm not sold on adam booth as a trainer either, i like the guy and am not saying he is bad, just unproven? one thing i do believe about him though is that he has a fantastic eye of spotting weaknesses in other fighters, that will give him a good plan to work with Haye...

I also think he will make in impact at HW but he has to play his cards right. If he bulks up to 230 it will not be good. 215 would be perfect for him and he would be a threat to anyone in the division once he gets settled in with the weight.
