Thoughts?I know this one is really hard to imagine but I'd be intrigued.Remember,Ray was past his prime and STILL held his won with the best of 160 in his era,which is incredible.

Even though Robinson's Middleweight record in Championship fights was something like 8-6. I would still favor Robinson, Robinson has very good movement which would give Hopkins fits, plus Robinson's hand speed would give Hopkins even more trouble, i see Robinson winning 12 round UD.

The young agressive version was a dangerou dangerous fighter BUT he was more open than he is now,and it would be nothing SRR hadn't seen before. When you have a beast like LaMotta pounding in your chest for a whole fight,I'm pretty sure you can handle most guys that come forward. I actually think the older version could do better,his better defence,his style would have more chance of upsetting Ray's rythm,but hey,I could be wrong.

No way would Robinson KO Hopkins, Hopkins has solid chin i don't think anyone would be stopped in this match up

So did Gene Fullmer have an excellent chin and look what happened there.Robinson would make Hopkins look like a fool simply by using speed and for god sakes activity unlike Hopkins who likes to wait and counterpunch.Don't get me wrong I am a big Hopkins fan but to put him up with The greatest Fighter ever is ridiculous.

I'd go for Robinson. He wasn't at his best at Middle but he was still a quick moving, volume punching force. Hopkins tactics wouldn mwork against him as Ray was too mobile, to quick and too skillful.
