    Default styles

I'm frustrated at the moment. I'm 14 and do muay thai kickboxing. I'm fairly tall for my age and am pretty strong but not quick. I don't have a style of boxing and am lost when I spar. What style best suits me.
Also can you give me some combinations to use on my heavybag.

    Thankyou Â

I do muay thai as well and reckon thai boxers are a lot toughe then other styles. The moves you use in muay thai are the ones I'd be using in a streetfight. The praying thing is called the wai kru and to be honest I don't know how to do it. Thai boxers kick ass

If you train why are you asking us how to hit a heavy bag and other crap. You sound like you're 10 years old.

Evil, that's a poor attempt at English.

Muay thai is an effective sport that can be used for self defence. No one style is better than another keep that in mind also be aware competition rules may favour one style over another AND the ones who compete often cross train

We don't have heavybags were I train and have never been taught how to use one. And yeah I'm fourteen years old so don't tell me I'm acting like a kid.

    >And I didn't say Thai boxing is better then any other styles. I was just saying its probably the martial art most suited to self defence. And too MISSY I've been training for less then a month and don't know very much. Aren't I aloud to ask questions that I don't know.

If you've only be training a month how are you in any position to tell whether it's best suited to self defence when in one post you are telling people what to do then in the next asking us to tell what combinations to use :

    1. That's why we have coaches/trainers

    2. That's also why we have a SEARCH function

    3. Can't be a very good gym if you don't have any heavy bags. How are you supposed to low kick or in fact most of your kicks and before anyone says 'kickshield'- yes I know.

    4. Kid you're 14 you really shouldn't be threatening me or anyone else on the forum, you will come worse off.

Of course you can ask questions, just depends what you ask.

we're not getting on your case, we just want posters to put a little thought in to their posts - not suggesting you didn't but you did post something 10 topics asking for advice saying you didn't know what are good combo's - anything that lands is a good combo - you then went on to dish advice after saying you didn't know what you were doing and had only been training a month. I hope you can understand how that may seem.

I understand and have found a site that answers most of my questions anyway. I'm getting a couple of dvds on boxing for my birthday which should help me. Do you have any real good boxing training sites I can go to.

    Thank you
