Not to much, seems to have fought some decent opponents in his career, but comes up short against the higher level. His chin looks solid.

Judge Bob Gilson had the 12 rounder 116-112 for the champ, but both John Epstein and Kevin Morgan had the fight even at 114-114, for the native of St. Petersburg, Russia.

majority draw, sounds like a bad decision

Sal, suddenly all your rambling about Kirilov schooling Mijares sound.... Well absurd to be honest.
I just read 3 different reports and all 3 said it was a close fight coming into the late rounds.
I myself thought Kirilov would give Mijares a good fight but honestly after reading about this bout and seeing how Mijares is on his way up I just can't see how Kirilov would beat Mijares...

Now I would much rather see Montiel vs. Mijares.

i think they mean win as in a successful title defense in the sense that he didnt lose his title
