Per Saddo, after trying the thank you's he realized that he didn't like them, and already got rid of them. And here is what he said about the +/- numbers.

So it basically shows everyone what post received rep, what kind of rep, and how much rep you received for the post.

I am very much liking all the fine tuning of the rep system and we went from having a very good CC/SC system to a basic rep system (a la BS.com) that I wasn't so hot on to something that works very well. Pretty much every aspect of the CC/SC system has been overhauled and all the complaints are now fixed.

I still think we should call reps s though. Something about the name makes it a bit hard to part with. I remember back in my posting prime hearing a speech on the news or something that I really liked and I nodded my head and all I could think of to say was CC. That was weird. I laughed it off then a good month or two off the forum to ensure I didn't go the way of the Everquest warlocks who stay living in their own alternate online universe as they roam the real world. Everything is cool now.

But other then that the system is great

I like the rep system but I hate the punch power. Take your current rep count for example of just over a 1000.

That has taken you your entire time on Saddo's a couple years at least to build. Within 3 months because of the inflatory punch power a popular user will be able to earn that amount of rep in a single day in fact posters like me and Mick with high rep would be able to hand out that much rep with a couple punches

With this system you only have a good rep as long as you keep posting all the time. Take some time off and your rep will nosedive in comparison to others.

I don't like that aspect of it, I think 1 rep point should mean 1 rep point and that people shouldn't have the power to dish out more or less based on their popularity of the past 4 weeks.

But the rest of it I like.
