    Default Mijares/ Munoz signed

Just read that Christian Mijares has signed to fight Alexander Munoz!!!

This should be a great fight.

Mijares said he wanted to fight Montiel but they couldn't get it done. Said he'd like to fight Montiel after Munoz. Thats the way to establish yourself as the best in the division, fight the best. But I think he should concentrate on Munoz 1st.

A tough fight for me to call, slightly favoring Mijares at this point, but Munoz will be in it the whole way!

I'm always delighted to see a fight with Mijares in it and even more glad to see that he wants plenty big fights!

I think that Mijares can be undisputed.

I know at this early stage that is a big call and beating Munoz and Montiel would be huge feats, but Mijares is continuosly developing and progressing as a fighter and I actually feel he can do it.

    Very interesting fight, rep'd.

Interesting cause about a week ago I'd heard that Munoz/Arce was being made but didn't post it cause didn't have a concrete source. This is even better.

Mijares will beat Munoz easier then what people think.
Munoz is the type of fighter that tries to impose himself onto his opponents.
He will fail miserably trying this on Mijares.
Mijares will use his ability to outbox Munoz.

    I'm wanna see Montiel-Mijares.
It'll be a reminder of the great throw back fights between Roman-Laciar or Roman-Rojas....

    That'd be awesome!

If only Mijares' handlers got balls to answer Donaire's challenge.

He is fightin Munoz, and wants to fight Monteil i'd say his handlers have plenty of balls.

His fighting those guys coz he know he can handle 'em. Mijares knows Montiel can make silly mistakes sometimes (like showboating) and he can easily take advantage of that.

Mijares will have trouble fighting a fellow counter puncher. Trust me.

    DITTO...

I can't wait to see the winner against Montiel.

Side note: Your comment above highlights the persistent question mark I have about Floyd's P4P status. He has won in so many weight divisions, but refuses to defend at them. Hatton was his first defense at WW, and he wasn't even ranked at that weight. Someone like Calzaghe, for instance, is undefeated has a record number of defenses and can say that NO ONE gets past him at his weight. Yes, he has rules, but has he ducked any SuMwts? Food for thought...

I've stated my case in another thread, Navarro showed Mijares can be hit & Kawashima showed Mijares can be hurt. Munoz is much better than both so Mijares better beware!!!

Sorry bro I just posted a new thread about this, didn't see yours as it was on page two. Can you merge them?

Any way a great match-up here!!! 2 of the best in the division with talk of the winner to face Montiel.

I'm favoring Mijares but only slightly... Munoz can fight & with his power he has an edge
