Default ICB's RBR Carlos Quintana vs Paul Williams The Rematch.

A bit early yes but im getting excited about this one so im gonna step up and do this one.

    Paul Williams

A Thomas Hearns type of build but there nothing alike style wise, Williams was on a high after beating Antonio Margarito, most people thought the fight vs Quintana would be a formality but to the shock of most people Quintana totally out slicked, out boxed Williams. IMO Williams lost because he didn't use his jab at all he should of made more use of his natural physical attributes by making it a lot harder for the shorter man to land punches. I always liked Williams i loved the way he punches in angles but a big flaw is that he fights small plus his defense is very leaky. His offense is unreal but most of his punches are ineffective slapping punches, after this fight if Williams wins then i think he needs to move up to Jr Middleweight a fight with Vernon Forrest at 154 would be amazing IMO.

    Carlos Quintana

Quintana has shown the skills especially when he beat Joel Julio, he did get beat bad by Miguel Cotto but even in that fight he did show flashes of his slick skills. Quintana may be the dark horse of the division he has quick hands, and sticks to his game plan very well, and he is incredibly slick and being Southpaw makes him even more awkward to deal with. He totally off set Williams rhythm when they fought it was an amazing boxing exhibition and i was shocked when i watched it. If Quintana beats Williams im not sure what path he should take, because if Cotto wins vs Margarito i can't see Quintana having a chance against Cotto in a rematch, and i certainly can't see Quintana beating Mayweather, i think he does have the tools to out box Margarito so if Margarito beats Cotto i think that would be much better for Quintana to try and win another belt.

    Keys To Victory Quintana

Basically the same as last time use movement constantly to off set Williams rhythm, and don't allow Williams to work on the inside.

    Keys To Victory Williams

For certain use his jab more i think thats a key factor in the fight, if he doesn't use it then he loses again simple as that.

    If Williams Loses

Then he needs to move up to Jr Middleweight i think he would do very well at that weight class there isn't many strong title holders at that weight class.

    If Quintana Loses

As i said above not really sure what path he should take maybe taking on Judah or Berto ??

    Questions, Questions....

    Did Williams look past Quintana?
Did Quintana have a once in a lifetime fight?
    Did Williams train correctly?
Does Quintanas style prove awk2ward for Williams?

I dunno, I'll haver to pick Quintana based on hunger, desire and of course psychological advantage, but I would not be surprised to see a very vengeful Paul Williams come back.

Did Williams look past Quintana? Yes he did.
Did Quintana have a once in a lifetime fight? Nah i think he has another performance like that in him for certain.
Did Williams train correctly? Dunno but what i do know is that Welterweight isn't right weight class for him IMO.
Does Quintanas style prove awk2ward for Williams? Yes but lets see if Williams can adapt in a rematch.

I bet that Quintana will win this fight again , if he make the same strategy with more consistence in Jabs , lateral movement and with others differents skills that Williams wouldnt read it , i dont think that Williams could catch him IMO , if Williams would not win this shot i think that he have to move up to JMW , he has some difficulty to make WW......

I think a re-focussed Williams eeks out a decision against Quintana. I don't think he took Quintana seriously last time and saw it as a gimme fight.

I echo your first comment in fact im surprised he stayed at Welterweight this long, he could even move up to Middleweight with no problems.

Yeap ICB , he just want try to win for get a Big shot , a fight with a Big Purse and then to move up.........
He have difficulty for make the weight of 147 , but the question that i have is , Does he can throw the amount of punches that he do in most of his fight in JMW Div. ? Could he has the same consistence ?

Williams will win this. He needs to do what he used to do. Throw nonstop punches and out hustle his man. He didnt even get into first gear last time out.

    Williams with a focussed decision.

9-6 in favor of Quintana you know boxing is funny at times, i remember before the first fight it was probably like 25-2 in favor of Williams.

If williams adapts to carlos`s style and manages to keep him at a reach then i think he`s boxing ability would be enough for him to gain a UD.

But after the 1st fight i just cant look past quintana to win in more confident devestating fashion.

Williams never got to grip with an awkward opponent and never seemed to be able to re-adjust his style in order to fight the fight at his pace.

All i see happening in this one is williams trying to beat his man to the punch and eventually getting KO`d!!
