I did a solid for a buddy where this girl trains,and called my contacts to get this girl he has a fight.
She has amateur chops to beat the band, but she also has a reputation as a bouncer, so he picked her up when nobody wants to train her.
Well Ive damn nigh get her a fight with a solid promoter,actually she had numerous ones to chose from if they could get her an opponent. ANd even then theyd be willing to use her on a fight to fight basis
Her "spiritual advisor" convinces her to sign a 3 year deal with a backwater promoter, and leave that gym,so she could be around "black people"
Not only did my bud blow his time on this girl,I look like an idiot,because Im not delivering the fighter I promised,and I busted hump to get the other promoters interested in using her.
Since I know one of her advisors will read this, go back and read the contract honey,I allmost garuntee you theres an out clause in there,so if you get hurt, or string together a couple of losses,your gone like yesterdays garbage.
And in the mean time you just burnt a ton of bridges, I hope you get your head taken off when you so much as look at a ring
You wasted my buddies time,and you tarnished my reputation in this buisness
I mean not that Im angry,pissed off is alot closer

I,realize this is a very cutthroat business,but her "adviser" doesnt know jack-s about the game,but he just cost her some contacts,and screwed with my life in the process,and considering the rates at my buddies gym, even if she does do well, they just cost him a bunch of coin as well.
What alot of boxers dont realise,is for every full dues paying member in your gym,half the time your taking in two charity cases. Most boxing trainers, and boxers grew up poor. So you figure, you can give the kid a little discipline, and if their good enough an out from their situation, not to mention keeping them off the streets. So your reputation will get you in due payers,so it wasnt like he was trying to cut her purses or anything,but those rep points as it were will get people in the doors,and that will get a dozen kids off the streets
But youve got to keep those doors open somehow.Thats why we charge if you can afford,Title isnt giving away mitts last I checked,neither is Everlast.
Heck my buddy was willing to pony the fee to have me work her first corner, and I was inclined to pass, just because I didnt think I was the cornerman she needed, I was more inclined to get Feur her lisence and send her up to work it, I just thought Feur would work a more mellow corner then I would,first pro fights are scary.
For me and my buddy,though,this is a total screw job,and long term,unless she's as good as she thinks she is,one for her as well,because a heap of people are PO'ed
